Sorry dude but your point for PC is complete garbage. And the "buy a dualshock" part ? Really ?
=> KBM vs controller is not even a debate, it's a joke.
=> Price of a PC vs price of a PS4 is also not a debate, it's a joke. It's at least twice the price of a PS4 to get a decent PC for a FPS
=> 80% of the original playerbase of Dust 514 that left after red wedding, or before, already bought a PS4. 90% of all time is console based.
=> Original motivation for DUST514 is : "be a simple friendly way to the EVE universe aka and FPS. Get in touch with a new playerbase aka Console".
So yeah sorry but any talk about having dust 514 or legion or whatever on PC is both a mistake and a lack of respect for the players who have\are stil investing money in this game. HELL it was that idea that drove its core fanbase to massively leave the ship and switch resources that were first involved in keeping on building the game on PS3.
And as i havent been there in a long while and i might get some "Who are you, you know nothing, blablabla" kind of ****, i'll just remind i was in the first CPM so i m pretty solid on the matter and heard monthes before FF the plan to just basically drop PS3\console and go to PC. And already back then the justification i got from up there was full of ****.

Give me a break, you prefer paying 350-450 per new ps every few years or pay 400 per pc and then if needed update once in few years by 150? You have problems with economic reasoning right there. End of story. Ah also, as much as I know the biggest playerbase in the world is PC no matter how much sony and micro will try.
Lol, over the course of a console lifetime, you will certainly invest a lot more than 150$ every few years in your PC. As a matter of fact i come from PC gaming so i know how it goes.
FYI, PS3 released in 2006 and PS4 at the end of 2014. Only in 2015 can we say the PS3 is actually done. So that's a 8+ year lifespan. No reason it will be ay different for the PS4, which leaves 7 years for a 350$ investment. No way you'll beat that with any PC. Saying otherwise is being as hyporcritical as saying games are of better graphic quality on console than they are on PC. And even outside of the price thing, many console players chose that type of gaming platform for other reasons simple as simply not having any room to have one.
And biggest playerbase ? Hum, sorry but arent we talking about a specific game launched on console and played by console players in the first place ? Players from PC who bought a PS3 to get in the Dust adventure remain over the lifespan of DUST a minority.
There's also an ethic POV on the matter. You create a game and earn money from the pocket of a specific group of player. Arent you somehow entitled to favor those players when pushing your game to a different level ?
How would PC players feel if Dust had started on PC on a terrible engine then announced to be ended and a new iteration launched exclusively on PS4 ? My guess ? They would have been pretty angry. And they would have been right to be.
I'm sorry but i see nothing else but egoistic behavior in PC players rooting for Dust's future to be on PC.
But beyond those debate and differences of POV, the real culprit is and remain CCP:
=> First for chosing a dying platform to start an ambitious and imo pretty well thought project (same universe, mainstream gameplay type, new playerbase).
=> Second for being sufficiently dumb to trust the development of that game to an entirely brand new, unstructured dev team and appointing a just as dumb director to head of the project (those who remember who i'm refering to, meeting the guy in person was eye opening on how stubborn and messy the guy was...)
=> Third for being insanely dumb and diving head first in a PR nightmare at FF14 without anything concrete to show for game wise or top management wise. (proof being that CCP's boss pretty much never talked about legion ever).
Anyway, we can argue as much as we want, i still know (yeah i'm being arrogant but F* it) that the right decision by the players would be to go PS4. Same applies on an economic POV. F2P FPS are legion (see what i did there) on PC, whereas there's still a lot of room on console.
