Sure, there are EVE players who got the PS3 just for Dust, but that doesn't describe the majority of gamers.
Many of us have already purchased a PS4, and are eagerly awaiting Dust there.
I am not averse to it moving the the PC first, and I think that it would, in fact be the best for all parties for that port to go first.
A PC port would allow freedom of updates, test servers, etc that can't be found with a Sony partnership, and the PS4 allows for a large group of console gamers (its outselling the PS2 relative to its cycle), and an extra revenue stream, which will be all the more important once Star Citizen gets going.
With Valkyrie being on the PS4, giving CCP experience developing on the platform, it is a great situation.
What do you have against the PS4?

Nothing just trying to avoid the current problem we have now that we will have in the future on ps4 if its gets ported to it The problem is that the competition on the PC is much greater for this type of game, and EVE as well, particularly with Star Citizen and Star Marine around the corner.
While I won't say it will kill the games, or CCP, it will put a significant dent in their player base. If they want to survive long term, they will need all the help they can get, and that should include porting their games to the PS4 and XBone.
If they try and ignore the market conditions, they may end up not having Dust/Legion on any platform whatsoever.

*All free to play games are, and will mostly likely continue to be, able to be played online with multiplayer, and not need a PS+ membership.

Yeah, the high end PCs can do amazing things etc. You can customize and use/make mods, which is great for the people that want to do it.
But if that were the be all/end all for games, why are so many PC games also on consoles?
Even Overwatch from Blizzard just came out saying that it will be available for PS4 and XBox One in addition to PC, though it had up to yesterday only been known as a PC game.
And frankly, graphics at this point are over rated in terms of the affects it has on enjoying gameplay. Look at how many games, like Birth of Isaac, Spelunky, Super Meatboy, and other games have come out with really old graphics on all platforms, and still saw success.
Hell, just look at Minecraft. It is one of the most successful games ever, and has crap graphics.
People play consoles because they don't want the hassle of PCs, of upgrades, and making sure that everything is compatible, and up to date etc. They play them because they are plug and play. I don't ever have to check to see if my PS4 has the required specs for the game, I can just pop the game in, and I am off.

That is business.
You open yourself up to the broadest possible market, it just makes sense.
So long as they offer a good product, and the consumer feels like they get their money's worth, then where is the harm?
That's what makes the world go round. People offer products and services for, what is hopefully, and appropriate amount of money. They employ people, so they can own homes, cars, and feed themselves and their families.
There are many unscrupulous business practices, many in video games, but simply porting a game from PC to console is not one of them.

These are the best point of bringing it to consoles IMO. Then you're maybe right about Sony, but I think the arguments above are overcoming this point. So what there is thousand of f2p games dust is different from all of them. WHAT oh do you mean the 2k players who somewhat plays? lol imagine the eve players who would actually play this game instead of the 2k we have already And the ps4 is already outdated unless you want under 30fps and the same technical problems we have on dust no thank you! Actually, the Eve community showed they had no interest even after the Legion announcement. And that was gonna be pc. So if they cant get Eve players you really think they are gonna get any others will come? Better to go console imho. Eve players are interested if there is profit to be made just wait if its released This is true.
According to the CPM that were at FF 15, plenty of EVE players expressed interest, and have on Reddit as well I believe, when discussing a recent interesting and meaningful point of contact with FW between Dust and EVE.
