First died in beta due to 'unknown' reasons... My current build (last one died during amarr event) has a laptop cooler under it, top shell off, an extra fan for the intake, and a handmade duct with an exhaust fan pulling air out of the back. Haven't replaced anything and the only mantinence I have done was cleaning the dust off it. However, it is on it's way out. Can't read certain discs (started with Arkham City, then The Last of Us and that list of discs has been growing rapidly) and will randomly shut off for no reason, even when I'm not playing Dust. Hopefully it survives long enough for a port to come, can't afford another PS3. Director of T-W-L Keeper of the List Lord of Scrubs

Lol i have had my Slim ps3 long before i got dust and its running just fine. Starter Fit Suits are OP :-)

If they actually went and completely optimized Dust, some of us just might have wet dreams about it. Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks. Dust really needs its high sec.

It wasn't just piled on either, it just boils down to a team that was lazy and made asinine decision; there were a couple of people fired over it. I mean carbon was dropped well before open beta (2013 when I started and I can find at least as far back as 2011 mentioning using UE3 with a quick search) so it's a far stretch to say it was pilled on. Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks. Dust really needs its high sec.

Back in 2012 when I first heard about this game, and knew how "questionable" and experimental its point of view was, I knew I was taking a risk if I chose to set up an account and ride this odyssey with CCP. Back then, when a player started threads like this, it got me a little worriedGÇª. golly, what if he's right. It's been such a short journey---I'd hate to have it die on us now. But now it's a whole 4+ years later, and it's still here and hooking new interest, and frustrating the same dinosaur-brains amongst us (ouch, I don't want to be hurtful), and it's still being blamed for everything from YLOD to lost pets, to "my girlfriend threw my PS3 out the 4th floor window, and said to me 'Madruger HAV a nice day!'" These posts aren't disturbing anymore---they're just plain sidesplitting! Okay, I'll stop making fun now. Be honest and frank: You don't have devs pulling their hair out trying to keep up with 10,000 reported scams, lost-ISK, and map-glitches worldwide,GÇª on a game that's dying. You don't have players like us climbing on the forum every week to DEMAND that "for the umpteenth time, someone please fix the dps and kick-reduction granularity from 0.34 to 0.345 on my Harper FD-17 Sub-Assault toothpick!"GÇª on a game that's dead. You don't have players lining up to Protest and Pettion and Cry to New Eden Heaven that they port onto the newer series consoleGÇª on a game that's dead. And the only time I lost a PS3 was when I bought one second-hand. THAT'S usually what kills your console,.. too many years of a former owner's dustGÇª not Dust the game. Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne... No story can have life without writers and publishers.
