From time to time, these points need to be returned to the forefront. Dropship Progression (and possibly the return of Logistics-Class DS) is still not an immediate subject, but is still a "Soon" subject. So let's not forget the neutral improvements many would like to see:
Adjust the Shield and Hardener active glow around the vehicle, so that the glow-animation is substantially removed from the small turret gunner's aiming area. Not just removing it from her ADS view when she's using the turret, but also substantially from the left and right side of her POV. (Only the driver needs to have confirmation that the hardener has been activated,... not so much his gunner.
--Provide a suitable protective bonus for the small-turret gunner (flat 200 ehp armour bonus, a -40% damage modification, or similar),... not to make the gunner invincible, but to force her into a tactical choice to stay and die at her gun, or abandon the gun after a reasonable amount of enemy fire.
--Replace the current TEMPORARY vehicle-locking timer with a similar lock-out that allows only squad members to immediately take control of the ship when the driver vacates it (maybe a DELAY before any non-squad passengers can get in that seat that the driver temporarily exited).
--Create further separation of the Assault Class dropship career path from the future Logistics Class dropship career path--with bonuses in the ADS aimed at "weapon performance", and bonuses in the Logistics DS aimed at "passenger and proximity protection/resupply". (ex: an Incubus should increase it's default AMMO and overheat-protection in the Skill Tree---a typical 'Prometheus' should introduce default armour-repping bonus for all it's passengers as you unlock the Skill Tree).
--Utilize the "Bay-Doors" animation to be the activator of whatever onboard resupply/triage bonuses you create in the Logistics-Class DS, while the Bay doors in the ADS remain "un-bonused", or maybe even non-moving (to introduce greater vulnerability to its passengers.
--Introduce a group of "Equipment Fitting" Slots for Logistics-Class DS, that fits only nanohive/CRU/triage style equipment.
--Introduce a group of "Energizer Fitting" Slots for Assault-Class DS, that fit only modules that affect the chin-turret of the ADS. ONLY the chin-turret. Let's not modify ordinary small turrets any more.
--If we cannot reintroduce the PROMETHEUS and ERYX models with reworked stats, simply return the black/yellow LOGI paint job on whatever Progression models are introduced.
