If you think about this, NPE right now has never been better before. The only time it has ever been better was on the release date, because everyone was a new player and on equal ground.

NPE might be better than it ever has been but it is still crap.

NPE and CPE (current player experience) I feel is in a very bad place because of the actions of some. I play a lot of matches where half my team or half the enemy team have double digit deaths while barely being able to pull off getting 3 kills. I even see a lot of people who can't even get the 150 WPs needed to actually earn SP for that match because they are stomped before they have the opportunity to actually earn WPs.

I can only imagine the frustration some people would get knowing they just played a match where they were brutally stomped but was rewarded no SP to invest in new skills/skill levels to help them combat that same stomp in the future.

So does anyone really know how Scotty works for say? Ok, I'm officer cadet with right at 16 mill sp. I don't know my k/d right this second but it sucks. I probably have put close to 60 bucks into the game for aur. So someone tell me how it is really figured. Its probably just a ramdom merc generator, because is see anyone from recruit all the way to captain and higher. Some battles are different depending on peoples playing habits and times.

But some teams can spend more money then other teams. If salary cap is an issue then they'll use team location to pull in better players. They use what they have to their advantage.

Yeah Pro teams don't play little league teams but they are playing the same game with the same rules as the other team. Just because the other team can't score doesn't mean i should switch to a less effective defense. Carmelo don't give no fucks about a backup small forward. He going for 40. Have you ever noticed the difference between how Peewee Football, College Football, and the NFL play their games?

The concept behind what they do is the same but the rules are different in each game. You notice how in College Football the play clock stops every time they make a first down but in the NFL the clock continues? In Peewee Football 'forward progression' can stop the play without anyone every being tackled. Oh and lets not forget that in Flag Football a player will actually get in trouble for tackling another player (I know this from experience).

I meant that professional teams are playing other professional teams. Just that things are different for each team and stuff. They play to thr best of their ability and whatnot.

This is a topic I've been meaning to post for a while. With other threads of the same theme being posted it is time I add mine in hopes of helping the cause.

If you are in a squad, running full scroto in a pub, and find your team pit against an inferior force of noobs....

DON'T IMMEDIATELY STOMP THEM BACK TO THE REDLINE AND FARM KILLS!!!!!

You're not proving anything and you are only killing the game. They will leave match out of disgust and you will leave out of boredom. You will get LESS kills by using your best gear. New players will quit the game.

If you want a real challange, want to help this struggling game retain those precious few new players, switch out your scroto gear for starter fits, let them out of the redline and give the noobs a fighting chance. If you can't still do well against noobs on a level playing field then you're not as pro as you think.

The way it should be is that we all enter a pub match using low to mid tier gear. If the teams are evenly matched and the fighting fierce then it will naturally escalate to proto tier play. If one side is outmatched they will be less likely to leave battle as there is still the impression of a fair fight. New players are more likely to continue playing long term when their chances don't seem so hopeless.

PC corps have been playing by an unwritten rule that you don't flip the last district of another corp. CCP did not enforce this rule, it was the players who took it up in order to improve planetary conquest as a game mode.

In that same spirit, you have the ability to affect the prosperity of this game in a positive way. You are not a dev, you can't implement balance or add new content to improve this game. But you can take responsibility for your own behavior and choose a play style that will do more good than harm.

Please, don't be a scroto scrub in pubs, give a noob a chance.

True, but in this game we have veterans with self-esteem issues who choose to squad with low MU players so that they can go stomp newberries in hopes that in doing so they will magically feel better about whatever inadequacies they have.

Back when I was in College I participated in Intermural Sports and the school athletes were barred from being able to participate in Intermural Sports because everyone knew that would be ****** up if they did.
