Good Day,
i have only recently run into this issue.
I will be in a match and be low or out of primary weapon ammo. I will manually switch to a rep tool or a Injector. When I hit the quick switch button, R2, it switches me back to the Primary weapon.
Now I don't know if it's possible, but If I'm out of Primary Ammo - could it switch to Sidearm / Secondary weapon instead of the Primary weapon.
Not a problem most people deal with on a regular normal day of playing, but something to think about.

Second, that bug does exist.
It does not matter if you use the pad (controller) or keyboard and mouse - it still happens every once in a while.
Very annoying if you intent to finish someone up with sidearm after running critically low on your primary clip.

I don't think this is what I meant, but you're saying,
Player is holding secondary weapon.
Switches to Injector / Rep Tool / etc.
They hit the R2 button, it switches them to Primary Weapon.
* This is a bug.
* So you're saying it should already take you back to the sidearm / secondary weapon, or sometimes does and sometimes doesn't.

As I said before, I've rarely run out of ammo on my primary weapon, until recently. What I've described above, happens regularly (except the * lines), because once I run out of primary ammo, I start trying to revive / rep folks, and I have to remember to hit R2 twice, once to switch to weapon and a second time to switch to secondary / sidearm.
This doesn't seem like a bug to me, it seems like when you are holding equipment and hit the R2 button, the system is designed to put the primary weapon into your hands.
My initial comment, base on my limited experience, is a request to change how the system works. What do other folks encounter when they are out of ammo on primary and switch to equipment?
