Officer lasers are supossed to be OP.
That said, i always find the best ways to learn to counter any given opponent is to spc into it, play it a bit and learn about the weaknessess.
Use cover. As obvious as it sounds, lasers are not going to be charging in and around corners the way RRs CR or ARs will. Keep some obstacles between the Laser and you, and try to keep the fight CQC. If you know one is on the field think twice befroe crossing any open terrain.
Lasers are generally very inaccurate with a controller. A little zig zag goes a long way towards making them overcompensate. I dont mean danceing in the open, but it will buy you some time when peeking around corners.
Snipers and forge guns are pretty good vs lasers. Lasers tend to stand still when firing, because they are trying to track long range tagets by aiming down sights. They aren't difficult to spot, given away by that massive laser pointer. You can pop out behind cover and one hit kill any amarr assault. Or tac snipe them, if not out right kill them make them think twice about poping thier heads out.
Shotgun/ Nova Knifes scouts also work very well. Cloak up to cross open areas, flank, and hit the assault while he's shooting someone else.
Redline for Thee, but no Redline for Me.

Compare them to a mouse and keyboard. You really think you can make very fine adjustments with a DS3 better than a mouse?

Yeah, had to switch it up and kill you and your buddies with an Amarr suit.

Buddy* only one in my squad was Beast ESD1.
yeah, and I think he got it worst than you, with his Mk. 0 assault with an assault rifle. don't know what that was about. A combat rifle would have ate me alive. any we are derailing this thread, it was a fun fight and you guys didn't give up. 07.
