Nice work Blaziken, lots to think about.
For reference, i run aScR/Scr + ScP religiously on a 8 million sp Amaar scout alt to keep myself familiar with how the ScR is really performing so no Amarr Commando experience, unfortunately.
1. Do you like, dislike, or like some parts and dislike other parts of the proposal? Why? Like just about everything, particularly how you've changed the flavour of the weapons with suit bonuses. On the Assault the weapons becomes a dynamic low refraction time finesse weapon for those who can manage heat, on the 'mando the weapons become raw damage machines that the suits can treat rough and push beyond their normal dps, sustained fire and damage per clip.
It's hard to quantify what the Assault changes will do, but prolly safe to say the ScR/Assault combo will definitely perform well in the hand of a skilled slayer.
The global Commando fitting buff makes sense, isn't OP and fits the role perfectly.
Regarding the Breach Laser, great idea, would like to see it in-game but it's going to be a powerful AI ohk weapon. For that reason i believe that the weapons should not be able to hold a charge.
2. Do you think any changes could be made to the proposal? If so, what changes?
Breach Laser should be incapable of holding a charge.
AScR does not need any help. I'm surprised how well it does on my underskilled scout, tbh.
The need for a ScR buff is debatable, imo - it's not made for wading into multiple enemies, but if you pick your fights and manage heat it seem to still be an effective 1v1 weapon on the scout suit.
3. Are you skilled into the Amarr Commando?
No.
4. Do you regularly play as an Amarr Commando?
No.

No. My idea for the Scrambler Rifle buff came from a lot of people complaining about how it was only viable on two suits. So I tried to compensate for that.
Oh, and the Breach Laser Rifle isn't able to hold charges, can you tell me where you read that so I can fix that part?

Re: the relative strength of the ScR, all i can say is that i'm honestly surprised how my well my 8 million sp AmScout alt does with the weapon compared to my 90 million sp Minnie main or 60 million sp Gallie main. Maybe it's just a case of the AmScout/ScR combo fitting my playstyle and i'm confusing variables, but i do find it more than a little bit surprising how well she does - i'm already salivating over what she's going to be able to do with everything maxxed.
Thanks again for the hard(and good) work, i think your proposal would add value to the game.

I agree with adding a breach laser rifle, don't care one way or the other for the amar suit specific bonuses, and wholeheartedly decry taking away the reload speed bonus in favor of damage boasting fitting reduction. The reason they have that instead of any other reduction is because the assaults got the light weapon fitting, and they are supposed to be flexible suits. The scouts get a cloak fitting reduction because the cloak was made more or less for them, logos vet all other equipment because that's their role, assaults get light weapon reduction because they are the mainstay suits commonly used by most people, so I really dont think the commandos should get a reduction to a specific module. It will really hurt them. If you really want to buff them and give a different bonus perhaps a fitting reduction to ALL modules would be a good idea as they are hurting for fitting room, but that also might be a bit op.
you ever get to that point where you know you should sleep, but ya just...dont? yeah...me too.

Now, on the feedback I plan an ADDING the resource reduction to the reload bonus, so it will be in ADDITION. Just want to make that clear. I thought about the fitting resource bonus, and I wanted to make it unique from any other class and I did not want a bonus to the same thing the Assaults get a bonus, because Commandos are not Assaults, nor are they meant to be.

Did some number crunching on the different weapon variations of Commandos and this is what I got: -28 different variations of the Caldari Commando -28 different variations of the Gallente Commando -15 different variations of the Minmatar Commando
And on the Amarr Commando: -6 different variations -*10 different variations if the Breach Laser Rifle was added into the game
This is further evidence of the Amarr Commando needing a buff

Hey blaze. I got a laser rifle variant idea.
60 battery Heat build up is 1.5 slower than the normal lr Damage up 75% than std laser rifle. Range is short at 60m
If you keep that range then bring up damage and heat feedback and make it a breach laser rifle for av purposes.
Lol I just remembered when I killed a adv Maddy with a elm 7 laser rifle

Breach weaponry has poor range. Just use this one as the breach and make a assault version. Bigger clips less,longer overheat huge range.
