Fix the absurdly strong amarr assault bonus and you can make these weapons useful on other suits, which will fix the amarr commando by default. I haven't even typed anything yet...

So, I'm taking these ideas, putting them into google docs and making one kind of merge that I hope makes everyone happy. My goal with the proposals I made is to make it so that not one person is unhappy (which I know is basically impossible) or to make 95% of the population happy. I will post the new proposal once I have it up and running.

The Commando was always meant to be the Laser King, but was overshadowed by the Assault, my proposal makes that happen while keeping the Amarr Assault balanced but not UP.

1. Do you like, dislike, or like some parts and dislike other parts of the proposal? Why? Like just about everything, particularly how you've changed the flavour of the weapons with suit bonuses. On the Assault the weapons becomes a dynamic low refraction time finesse weapon for those who can manage heat, on the 'mando the weapons become raw damage machines that the suits can treat rough and push beyond their normal dps, sustained fire and damage per clip.
It's hard to quantify what the Assault changes will do, but prolly safe to say the ScR/Assault combo will definitely perform well in the hand of a skilled slayer.
The global Commando fitting buff makes sense, isn't OP and fits the role perfectly.
Regarding the Breach Laser, great idea, would like to see it in-game but it's going to be a powerful AI ohk weapon. For that reason i believe that the weapons should not be able to hold a charge.

Breach Laser should be incapable of holding a charge.
AScR does not need any help. I'm surprised how well it does on my underskilled scout, tbh.
The need for a ScR buff is debatable, imo - it's not made for wading into multiple enemies, but if you pick your fights and manage heat it seem to still be an effective 1v1 weapon on the scout suit.
3. Are you skilled into the Amarr Commando?
No.
4. Do you regularly play as an Amarr Commando?
No. My idea for the Scrambler Rifle buff came from a lot of people complaining about how it was only viable on two suits. So I tried to compensate for that.
Oh, and the Breach Laser Rifle isn't able to hold charges, can you tell me where you read that so I can fix that part?

Re: the relative strength of the ScR, all i can say is that i'm honestly surprised how my well my 8 million sp AmScout alt does with the weapon compared to my 90 million sp Minnie main or 60 million sp Gallie main. Maybe it's just a case of the AmScout/ScR combo fitting my playstyle and i'm confusing variables, but i do find it more than a little bit surprising how well she does - i'm already salivating over what she's going to be able to do with everything maxxed.
Thanks again for the hard(and good) work, i think your proposal would add value to the game. Thank you so much! I added something in the Breach Laser Rifle section that clearly states it does not hold charges.

Did some number crunching on the different weapon variations of Commandos and this is what I got: -28 different variations of the Caldari Commando -28 different variations of the Gallente Commando -15 different variations of the Minmatar Commando
And on the Amarr Commando: -6 different variations -*10 different variations if the Breach Laser Rifle was added into the game
This is further evidence of the Amarr Commando needing a buff

If you keep that range then bring up damage and heat feedback and make it a breach laser rifle for av purposes.
Lol I just remembered when I killed a adv Maddy with a elm 7 laser rifle I feel like the AV variant for the Amarr Commando should suck at close range, more than the vanilla one, and be epic at long range against vehicles and good against infantry if you have good aim.
