Are all the kids these days so emo that trying hard is no longer cool? Are we all just supposed to be apathetic all of the time? Should we all just start randomly shooting at each other without aiming? "Whoops aiming is too hard!" Should we all just sit in the MCCs? "Eh, I'd jump out, but then I'd have to hit the inertia dampener or die!" Better yet, maybe we just shouldn't spawn at all. "Pushing one button is too hard!"
Yes, I goddamn try hard. I am on that field to win the fight, and make some ISK. Am I saying that you have to be OH SO SUPER SERIOUS? No! At the end of the day it still should be fun for you, and not another job. What I am saying is that it doesn't make sense to use "tryhard" as an insult. I suspect that it's just an excuse made up by people being stomped. "Oh, well I guess we're losing, but it's okay because I'm not even trying, and they're all trying so hard lololololololololo!!!!111OneONe"

That's fine. You like to just run with however you can get your giggles. I respect that. However, I like winning, and knowing that I did everything in my power to push my team to that Victory screen. I think that is fun. What I'm saying though, is that it shouldn't be an insult to say that people are "try hards." At its core, trying hard isn't a bad thing.

I also have no clue how trying hard ruins the concept of video games. They're supposed to be fun. I have fun when I'm giving it my all. I do occasionally enjoy playing a more relaxed style, but as a competitive person at heart, I like to win.
