Some things that often get over-shadowed by rifle balance needs to be brought to the forefront of conversation again to increase gameplay enjoyment.
1. The Nanite Injector/animation
This piece of equipment was designed to revive downed enemies in the beginning of the game. Since that time it seems gameplay has gotten faster, but the mechanic surrounding the pickup animation has stayed the same. Some of the issues with this is how it is conducted on the battlefield.
Standing up on the wounded guys head when he is revived often gets both of you killed. It seems both you and the friendly can't move properly for some reason?
Also where the downed friendly is hit is where he should land, or at least come to a stop relatively quickly. Chasing a body rolling across flat land gets us killed. Rolling down hill... alright I get it, but he's gotta lose momentum at some point?!
The body showing in one location, but getting revived 2 meters away makes the pickup extremely difficult in a pinch situation. He needs to be available at the actual location of the body as shown on the screen.
The body being completely under the map.... seriously? Can we fix that?
2. Why does ammunition cost so much?
Seriously? The stats look great, but ammo can be elbowed or fluxed in an instant.... so why does these things cost as much as a sidearm in some cases? Unless they start having built in dampeners and have a much higher hp, they should be about half the cost of a current nanohive. Seriously, the allotek and wirykomi (least used nanohive ever) cost up around 28k?
3. Equipment being placed in walls
Uplinks in the wall, hive sinking into the null cannon floor, remote explosives disappearing into the map, etc.
4. The hilly terrain
Traversing some of the terrain in the game in very notable locations can get you killed. Whether on foot or in vehicles! While I'm sure that was by design, and was intended to be difficult. Some of the more memorable areas are glitches, not just difficult. Some terrain will take a shield vehicle to down to 0 shield instantly without ever actually leaving the ground. Some terrain on small surfaces will get a dropsuit stuck.
The staircase by the panel on fracture road domination comes to mind. The in the moment fix is to call an LAV to get the player stuck into it, and out of the location. However, this needs to be rectified. Some of these locations tend to get players stuck when links are placed there, also?! Like on the pipeline on fracture road. The links placed there can get a player stuck upon spawning.
5. Projectiles rendering
As a part time vehicle operator I understand the struggle of vehicle operators to locate where the swarms/forge is coming from. Not because of fog (which needs to go), but because either the swarms themselves don't render in travel and only show impact with the vehicle, or the troop firing them isn't rendering. Alot of times I will see swarms leave thin air?! I gun from dropships, and I will be searching for the swarmers in futility because he simply doesn't render for the 1st 3 volleys?!
This also stands true for some light weapon rifles. Sometimes I will have to ask my team mates
"what the f*ck just hit me? I didn't see it?!"
The hit indicator will often say behind you, but the shots will come from the front connecting to your side rear?! This makes it difficult to make a quick judgement on where to go to return fire.
6. Getting stuck on walls and edges when trying to menuever
Unholy frustrating! You know you have a clear path, but the wall is ghost hanging out an extra foot getting you killed?! Please look into this one too!
7. Last, but definitely not least! 2 inch ledges!!!
CCP please! I can simply step over it lol! I don't wanna jump 5 feet in the air, giving away my position, to clear an inch of meaningless ground?!
The maps in general need to be looked over by 1 or 2 guys with a fine tooth comb.
Frankly, the game is still full of small, but seemingly fixable glitches. I know the big stuff takes time, but how about the small things? They seem to be just getting overlooked because we cry about the large things more often. Small fixes can quickly improve gameplay tremendously!
If you guys have anything to add that I may have forgotten, please add it!
