Hi, Asa player who started out not knowing what to do and having none of my Friends at the time playing Dust, So I had no one to give me pointers about the game. i just randomly put Skillpoints into everything instead of focusing on certain things; For example... I put several Mil SP's into unlocking all the Gallente Suits and several weapons that I've never even used. I also put SP's into vehicles and a few other suits that I never use. With 25mil SP's now and after playing the game for almost a year now I've become a very good MinLogi and a Decent Gal Assault/Sniper and if after the time I've spent playing and my limited experience in the game, i would use my Skill Points very differently now. For example... I would keep my Proto MinLogi and GalAssault but instead of having Skills in three different sentinel suits and a few other suits I never use, I would fully upgrade my Combat Rifle, Scrambler Rifle and Assault Rifle... I would switch out the SP's in RE's to unlock Core Grenades, and several other changes. Anyways, My point for this post is this... For those of us players who started out without any knowledge of the game or what we should do, Maybe you can make the Skill reset and Refund cheaper for the first time of purchasing one so that we can obtain them a little easier the first time we purchase one after we've had some experience in the game and know have a better knowledge of what we should upgrade.

That's not a bad idea. The Skill Respec up to x timeframe or x Lifetime SP should be at a discounted rate for new players. Not bad and it's fair.

Yes, but some of us weren't able to participate. I just got back from a week long Vacation with my Family and won't be able to get the 514 kills in three days. I would need roughly 171 kills a day and I do not have the time needed to accomplish that unfortunately.

CCP could make the event "get 514 kills period". Make it a mission that doesn't go away until the player finishes it.
This would help the guys, and also keep players from doing the ridiculous boosting we've been seeing.

There's been like 3 or 4 posts on GD every day of the event showing EoM screens with boosters.
Something is killing new player retention.

You're gonna most likely get a response from archduke.
I remember when I first played dust... What I did was maybe a bit crazy. I kinda got obsessed with this game even before I even downloaded it. I went online and created my character through dust page and read the manual and search stuff about it so j didn't have to much of a bad time. But I really wish the game was more player friendly. If I had known before, I wouldn't have skilled all the stuff I don't use and would have been a Gallente loyalist since day 1. I am thankfully gonna get the respec after I finish getting 29 more kills tomorrow.
The respec is alsmot $20.
If you ever do plan on buying one, but the $20 merc pack woch comes with enough aur to buy the respec, the dragonfly bpo Gallente scout (which you can sell), the toxin SMG bpo, and a few other things.

I don't know. I know there is one pack that you can only buy once per account. Lemme check. Will edit this post.
Edit- yes you can buy it more than once. It's the tactical edition pack that you can only buy once.
