It's because some don't like certain maps due to the spam playstyles used. Some don't like to fight certain players or corps because they are known to be lagging and skipping about the place all the time.
Players have the right to choose, and as much as I prefer 16 v 16 the truth is when you see a q sync of Carne con papas I'm out?! Not because I don't like to fight. Just that I don't like to lag about getting insta-killed by their extreme damage distributing mods.
The maps need some well needed revamps sure, but the majority leave because they see Zen kill society, prima, carne, cap Aqc, etc. rolling deep opposite them. Everyone gone say that's not it, but we know it's true.
Lack of squading doesn't help either. Players encouraging solo play don't seem to realize how badly that hurts new bros. While I can climb in my SHAV and do well solo, they don't have 91 mil SP. They need to be in squad to prosper! Again, a guy with less than 20 mil, not in squad, facing total annihilation by carne in a factional.... Yeah I'm leaving too.
Iberica racing team 10 deep will d*mn near light your playstation on fire lol! Some players just prefer to not be robbed by framerate loss/lag/latency. I know I do! It just doesn't sit well with me that I will face SOG in a match completely lagged out, not relog, and the next match is perfectly fine. All the matches before them were normal too....?
The common theme with most of these corps is the high percentage of them who are using modifications to mask poor play.
We can't, and I'm guilty as well, sit around and blame newer players for choosing simply not to fight all battles. They have that choice. We can encourage squads to lower the numbers of guys leaving battle though.
I squad 8 deep in factional all the time, and no one leaves battle when they see me. We have some great battles all day until the modders come back.
