I had forgotten how annoying the music and the chicks voice can get.
This did not help black screens but the game seems a bit smoother. My last reinstall was in Feb so I was more than due for a clean up. |

I only gave in and did it because I started getting fatal errors again. Those seem to be gone meaning it was worth it so far.
Thanks to my SSD, high speed internet, and hardwire to a bridge it is only about a 15 - 20 minute process so even a bit smoother is worth it. |

I have never reinstalled. Since CCP said that they were trying to fix the black screen, I inly got like what? 4 black screens out of like idk 18 games?

Depending on how long you have been in the game you REALLY should reinstall. A friend that I talked into reinstalling went from a game size of almost 10gb down to 3 gb. I don't remember what my numbers were when I did it back in Feb but it was close to the same.
The more updates you have piled up the more data that your system has to dig through for the files it is actually using. |

I noticed far less black screen than last time. It used to be every match but its far less. Good one ccp.

Just chiming in to confirm this is for real
Less than a year ago I reinstalled dust, finally replacing the client I had kept updating since beta
I was blown away when the size of the client dropped from 10gb to a little under 3gb |

Best part is that there are no syncs after reinstall. The game is ready to play nowadays.
It's hard to beat up hundreds of armor piercing bullets using only your face...
