For me, its the controller and not just the aiming mehanics in Dust that screw me over when I switch consoles/games. The PS3 controller has dead zones in their analog sticks, this is where that jerky feeling comes from, as you need to move the stick so much before the console detects it actually moving, then it just jerks.
This can be seen in other PS3 games as well with aiming mechanics. The Xbone and the PS4 don't have these dead zones so it feels less jerky, which is why it feels smoother.
To comoensate for these dead zones, I acutally use an FPS Freek for my PS3 controller to extend it. Doesn't completely eliminates the dead zone, but it does help.

Can you tell me if there's any differences between consoles? I bought Dark Souls II for the PS3 about two weeks ago, and when someone told me about some stuff I could get, I searched for hours and could never find what they were talking about. I later learned that the PS4 version has things that the PS3 version doesn't, and it turned me off of the game horribly. I really don't want the same thing to happen with Destiny, because it looks pretty cool, otherwise.
Not so much the PS4 Version of Dark Souls, but the SotFS version of the game. Its pretty much an updated version of Dark Souls 2. Yes it is also the name of the Xbone and PS4 release, however you can get the SotFS bundle for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Bit of a warning though, if you have never played a Souls game, don't get the SotFS DLC straight away. The Pursuer and the extra phantoms will make you cry and drive you insane. Oh, yeah, I got Scholar of the First Sins. Forgot that important bit of information. Got the three keys when I got to the old ladies. But I kept seeing things about this statue blocking a room in the tutorial area that has an Estus Flask shard behind it, a phantom appearing in the tutorial area if you light all the sconces, and similar things like that, but apparently that stuff isn't present in the PS3 version.[/quote]
I know about the Estus Flask shard in Majula but not in the tutorial area (I'm assuming you mean Things Betwixt?). I suggest checking the wiki for it. I will admit I use it if I am having trouble with a boss or I am completely lost in an area.
