My bad, you're right, it's probably great on a commando. I'll concede there. I just didn't mention commandos because the only one that's used in PC is Minmatar. And I've said it 5 times in this thread already. AR is good against scouts. What else is good against scouts on a Gal Logi?

You never specified equipment, you just asked "What else would be good against Scouts on a GalLogi?" That could be taken as "what other weapons"
