And I think PVE definitely fits into the bigger picture of what Dust has always been aimed toward. Don't you? I agree that PvE should be a feature in Dust. Hell, I think some form of manufacturing/industry should be as well... albeit not as deep as the Eve Online players' system. But OP was getting all weepy about soloing and I had to remind him that in it's current form Dust is not balanced so much around soloing as squads. If we ever get a port we can discuss the various PvE options we could pursue... Speaking of which: #PortDust514 Then why not just eliminate soloing?
If games are unbalanced because of solo players, and they have no place in the game, then they/we should just not be allowed to play. And you people who only love to squad can play with each other, and you can see those numbers drop (which is ironic given you created a whole thread about how you hated to see numbers drop).
IF however, both solo AND squad should be viable play styles, then something needs to be addressed. That means that the "this game is a team game" talkers need to recognize that solo players make up a significant minority, if not a majority of Dust players, and that any good business needs to address those customers, and make sure that their product takes them into account as well, or again, just be honest and tell them they aren't wanted, so that we can at least know that we are wasting our time hoping that we can some day enjoy the game whether or not we decide to squad.

Some people obviously don't understand advertising...
First of all, it costs money. The cost of marketing many AAA games vastly exceeds Dust's budget.
Then, you need to recoup costs, on top of still spending on operating, improving, Sony's cut etc. There is no guarantee that the marketing will be successful.
If new player retention rates were sky high, and if there were enough of them spending money, I would say maybe there was a chance advertising could make a major difference, but that isn't realistic. We all know the state of the game, and it would be a waste of money at this point to advertise.
