If we're saying the SCR needed the nerf, can we revert back to the old mechanics and reduce the damage instead?

Is this related to the charge changes?
Honestly I felt the weapon was quite competitive even without the charge simply because of how rapidly you could fire it.

just switch to TAR + Gallente Assault
less accurate than SCR but more DPS and without annoying heat mechanic |

Using a charge shot on anything outside of an Amarr assault is totally useless. Follow up shots will result in immediate overheat.
The only other suit it is useful on is the Amarr commando thanks to the damage bonus at least giving you the ability to finish a scout before overheating.
It is sad to see a weapon limited to 2 suits and only full pro users but hey shields users spend money on the game too so I guess CCP has to play ball with them even if that means trashing something so many people used.

They should have just lowered the damage or the amount of damage the charge shot does it would have been a better nerf.

Increased base damage slightly
Reduced charge shot modifier to 2x
Increased charge speed slightly
This would have put it right in line with all of the other weapons while also keeping a bit of uniqueness. It would have also made it a great benefit to run it on an appropriate suit. |

If anything my idea would have been an over nerf. That could potentially nerf it into the ground but at least the weapon would be on track to being balanced without cutting off half the players in the game too it.
Its one thing to make a suit give a bonus to a weapon but to make that weapon complete trash out side of its specialized suits in unacceptable and CCP should remedy this immediately.

RoF adjustments utterly disgust me. They just make it weird to time your weapon and add another difficulty to using semi auto weapons. Just look how bad the ScP was before this hot fix. |

havent even used the scrambler since i heard it was gettin nerfed a week after i skilled them to proto that is why im grateful for the crimson harvest. but them breach ARs though that buff is incredible :)

Current Scr stats (Ps: This was tested on a maxed out ak.0 assault and a maxed out scr)
Scr- 1 fully charge shot =More than 60-66% of the heat bar (Approx) Overheats 'shortly' after because of that sudden heat jump after the heat of charged shot.
Ascr- Can shoot 69 rounds straight non-stop, overheats after that. Feels like the recoil has been increased on scope fire and increased muzzle rise.
Imo: Its a laser gun why give it recoil and muzzle rise? It does not shoot metal bullets that explode in the barrel. (That's how it works right?) Now if you think scr needs recoil because every other gun has it then think about this: Scr has a overheating function,chews up the maximum amount of cpu pg and is hurts the user upon overheating.
My conclusion: Just leave the gun alone. Slight buff and the caldari qq will be spammed. Just get a ak.0 assault and use the ascr you'll do fine.
