I panicked as the clock runs down and switch to a mass driver figuring the efficiency against armor would be better than knives. I was going to die anyway (redline timer is bugged and will usually kill you at 5 seconds). Why not go out with a bang! So you probably could have gotten that dropship if you had kept tapping R1, rather than doing a bunch of partial charges. It's happened once or twice someone couldn't pay the price, and I'm afraid I had to rake 'em 'cross the coals.
