you were throwing up this morning, went back to bed and slept through your alarm.
you were so sick in fact you were going to miss your shift even if you were awake. your place of employment would of just had some notice. everyone gets sick. stomach flu, whatever. if you never miss your shifts they should get over it rather easily.

If that is the truth just explain it to your boss. If this is your first offense, you will get a warning and a slap on your wrist and at worst you miss pay for that day.
What would make it really bad is if you lie to your boss and he/she finds out.
