Problem was a surplus of officer weapons in existence.
Solution to the massive officer weapon stockpile was to create an event with an ungodly number of kills required.
Tryhards will suit up with their best gear to slay as quickly as possible. Resulting deaths reduce the officer weapon stockpiles.
Bravo.
It's hard to beat up hundreds of armor piercing bullets using only your face...

I never thought of the event that way. Wow this should cause a little effect with the experimental laboratory only making experimental gear.
Well see how the market changes. I'm sure there are more officer items in everyone's assets than total dust players combined for each specific officer item. I mean I got 800 kubos ions. I'm sure there are hoarders out there with thousands upon thousands of everything besides suits.Enough to run officer til dust is dead. Ahem Bane Sieg or Seig or Seige. Damn agimus minmando.

Makes sense, I could'nt understand why the event seemed so one dimensional before. I was thinking they could have incorporated other roles into the event more on top of the 514 kills e.g hack x number of times, revive x number of teammates, destroy x number of vehicles etc).

I don't have any more inclination to use my officer gear then I did before the event. 514 kills will come more then easy using just good ol' proto, and even still with blueprint.
Though it does seem like a good idea behind it. Personally I thought frequent officer gear for people was nice, let the little guys step into the big shoes without feeling like they lost too much.
All the guys who had plenty of it still will and for a long time to come.
