Heavy armor is supposed to be handicapped in that their turn speed is limited, leaving them more vulnerable to being flanked. Currently with the adjustable sensitivity, there is not much of a vulnerability to flanking if players simply set their sensitivity to 100 when in a heavy suit. As this is part of class balancing, I feel that heavy needs to have the cap reduced to a lower speed.
I suggested reducing all classes because scout seems to move almost far too quickly at 100 sensitivity, making one of their strengths almost useless. Maybe the multiplier can be reduced as far as the sensitivity is concerned, so players cannot adjust it up so much in heavy suits. |

I agree you should be rewarded for flanking a heavy even if only for a split second. It can still make a huge difference. |

That's a hard decision to make. While the player should have control over how fast his character should rotate, I also agree that the heavy shouldn't be able to turn as fast as say a scout or assault could. The problem there is how they would implement it and how that would affect game balance. The other issue is not all players use 100 sensitivity. I use 35 and I do just fine. It really is a matter of preference, and while you may have some advantage with a faster turn it doesn't necessarily mean you can't be outplayed by someone with a slower sensitivity. |

I agree with what Baron just said mostly because I have similar experiences and turning doesn't mean much if you cannot move as fast as your opponent during your one on ones and cannot draw a bead on them. (Could be the hit detection that causes me to die horribly against scouts but I digress.) |

I still think sensitivity should be able to be adjusted, I just feel that the "base" should start you at 50% and make less of a difference for suits that are intended to be slower turning, like heavy.
The turn speed makes a major difference, they already reduced the heavy turn speed once for balancing, but it is still too fast now that everyone just cranks it up higher if they are playing a heavy. |

a little presumptuous to say everyone cranks up there speed to play heavy dont you think? all the players i know who play heavy have there sensativtiy in the 30-50's. we do fine. tbh turn speed makes little difference because the vast majority of players dont try and strafe me close range. they do it mid range and wonder why iv spread them all over the floor like butter. heavys are ment to dominate at mid rane.
only a very very very few players iv come across strafe close range where turn speed actually matters. so seems like a pointless nerf tbh. |

Never thought id see the day when you of all people fatal would want to nerf the speed of anything even if it was just turning speed, i have to agree i hate to see it when people have sencitivity up real high it realy has a adverse affect for accuracy at medium ranges and i think the only reason people do it is because the think they have too to keep up with other people.
I think how it should be done is to reduce the total sesitivity rather than what people are using basicly this would allow people who play with lower sencitivity to avoid the nerf all together
Another part of this is the sensitivity it sometimes feels quite vauge i play mostly assualt using a AR i dont know what exactly is strange about the aimming but it just feels like it does not react very well to input so i think the aiming and all that needs a overhaul anyway |

heavies dont need another nerf tbh HMGs already gettin nerfed along with forge guns turn speeds for all classes? really? bad idea imo
i play at 100 sensitivity, i do for almost every game, others i play at around 75% reason for this is so that the game can react as quickly as me. If i see someone approaching on my flank and im using a standard or light suit i dont want the game to deliberately decide i should turn like im stuck in tar , no reason the game should nerf my natural reaction time
Heavies are the only suits i support a lowered turn speed for and i already think its good enough where its at atm especially since the HMG is gettin a nerf |

I'll agree that the turning speed does need to be addressed for the reasons you listed. The next patch does make mention of this, so we'll see what CCP has come up with. |
