I play Acquisition solo but my results today were about 50/50.
I was in a couple of matches where my teammates didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing but the others were pretty decent matches, at least for me. I even won a match running solo against a Proto Squad of Ancient Exiles who also had several other skilled players on their team.
I did have to break out with some diversity today though which I normally don't have to do in Acquisition. Normally I just run my APEX GalAss with that 'Quafe' Assault Rifle but today I had a few moments where I had to break out my APEX GalScout with that 'Quafe' Shotgun so I can go around assassinating redberries and placing links strategically so that my teammates would easily and quickly be able to spawn in either at the objective or where the objective was about to change to.
I even think I had to break out my APEX GalAss fitted with AV grenades and that 'Quafe' Plasma Cannon as well as my APEX Galmando fitted with that 'Quafe' Plasma Cannon at some point in the matches I played today.
Diversity in this game is key to success as well as the ability to anticipate beforehand what class you need to switch to before it is too late.
I always analyze the @$$ whippins I receive in this game and then try to create fits to counter those beatings. |

I get the black screen when I am thrown into a Skirmish match but I don't seem to get the black screen when I play Acquisition. I played Acquisition all day yesterday and a few FW matches and I don't think I received the 'black screen' once. My first match today was going to be Skirmish but I got the black screen and then I was kicked. I took Skirmish off the queue and only ran Acquisition and I had no problems. |

Btw you seem to run apex "free" suits all the time but you hate proto in pubs... Where does all your isk go? If it's to buy apex don't complain anymore lol. I actually bought all my APEX suits with Aurum which I purchased with real money. Last quarter my job put me on a project for a week-and-a-half that had me working a bunch of overtime so with that extra money I treated myself to the 'Elite Pack' and using the Aurum from that I purchased my APEX GalAss. After that I was hooked on APEX and after about a month to a month-and-a-half I had ended up buying all the Gallente APEX Suits available on the market.
As for where my ISK goes, it goes to Officer Weapons pretty much. I spent 48 million ISK yesterday buying the 'Quafe' GA-M Skin and I probably spent another 50 million over the past two weeks stockpiling Officer Gear. I have a decent reserve of Officer Assault Rifles, Kubo's Plasma Cannons, and Kubo's Ion Pistols.  I also have a bunch of Proto Gear in stock, I just rarely use them.
I did hop into some FW matches last night to use some of the Officer Gear I have but it took 3 FW matches before someone was able to kill me so I didn't exactly lose much. I plan on increasing my presence in FW though so I can put all my fancy gear to good use and so I can expand on who I play against.
As of right now though I am pretty low on ISK but I don't think I will be for too long. I dropped down to 2 million ISK yesterday after purchasing the 'Quafe' GA-M Skin but since then I earned about 10 million ISK playing Acquisition matches so at that rate I don't think it is going to take me too long to build my wallet back up.
Also, all my APEX suits are modified so they are not exactly free, they are just really cheap. My APEX Galmandos are the cheapest and run around 15,000 ISK and my APEX Logi is the most expensive running about 65,000 ISK. |
