My PTSD from dealing with Soroya Xel has been awakened by Aeon so I'd like to ask how many people want a return to the No Respec, No APEX days of Dust?
Should we also take away trading as that's something else people have fun with?
Anything else that would be considered fun that we should take away? Comms, Squads?

Why do you ask these questions?
Don't discount the power of a CPM member on a witch hunt. ADS is a flying ISK sink because of a CPM member.

Noted, I honestly just want to see Dust become better.
I want to see Dust appeal to more people with these teamwork and social tools, with the endless number of fitting combinations and play styles. Those are the things that make Dust different.
I don't care about the economy at this stage, why does it matter if none of the market prices change and we can only sell/trade a small percentage of items? There are so many things wrong with Dust, but we have our representatives worried about one of the only things that keeps people logging in.
Start a feedback thread on getting people to fight in matches.

Anything else that would be considered fun that we should take away? Comms, Squads? No respecs for Aurum only? I agree with that. Otherwise it's pay to win. Apex suits helped people build up that bankroll and severely reduced risk vs reward. Having them gone would be a good thing. Some of us were here for the harsh environment to play in.
And it led to an environment where a few dozen people controlled the entire game.
Apex suits were/are possibly the best NPE that CCP provided, it's a toss up between that and autosquadding. There's no future for a game that only a handful of people are capable of competing in. It's no fun being the king of **** mountain.

I've already got a PS4. I'm on my last leg here. You won't have to worry about me volunteering to be a representative of a game that I no longer play.
I've just never been able to quit. That fun match that you get once in a while somehow renews my passion for the game. You have years of evidence to look at. The risk/reward mechanics that people seem to romance about created an environment much more harsh than the one people whine about today. Mechanics that prevented any shift in power. The only times anything changed were periods of time after burnouts.
Players finally have the ability to build wealth and utilize higher tier gear to push back against those they despise and they want to see it stripped away.
If these mechanics with PC, FW, and Trading existed in May of 2013 this game would be much different. You'd have average corps with larger numbers providing a balance against elite corps and starter corps able to introduce their players to PC with raids. Corporations would have been able to train as a team all day in FW and several times per day through raids in PC.
The mechanics that we pleaded for from the start are here and all anybody can do is complain about proto and how hard it is to solo matches.
It's just a shame and on my way out I'm pulling a Jerry McGuire.

Question for you, Bright Cloud - on the assumption we sell SP for 1m SP per $1... Considering that there would only be about $300 worth of SP to purchase, why even have the skill system for any reason other than to create a barrier for non-paying players? Why have boosters if their only purpose to advance SP gains when you could just buy the SP outright? Why have the respec tokens for any reason than to redistribute your 296m SP right back into the same exact skills that they are required for? Or do you just criticize others without thinking about the other side of your own proposals?
Just for the record, I'm with you on this one.

Why do you ask these questions? l Don't discount the power of a CPM member on a witch hunt. ADS is a flying ISK sink because of a CPM member. Quick reminder that you still see ADS in every PC because they are still effective and valuable contributors to the team. But keep on crying about it.
Right because dropping 3-5 mil in a match for the handful of players good enough to use them makes them in a great place.

It's no fun being the king of **** mountain. This is not something I would have expected you to say. It's refreshing, and I believe you. But from what I've read, you seem to support (to me) the aspects of Dust that are keeping the kings at their current position. All the aspects that contribute to the effectiveness of a vet that we can control like stat modifiers, you want left alone. Yet more abstract things like 'players now have the ability to push back by building wealth and using higher tier gear' you seem to encourage. Say a player trying to make their way up poop mountain runs a fairly modest 50K ISK ADV suit, they'd have to be very careful with how aggressively they push back because 4 or 5 deaths and they're going to be in the red for the match. I'm not saying things are the same as they were before, but building wealth and using higher tiered gear still aren't all that compatible. I can see your point of view and I agree with the philosophy of reducing the gap between the haves and the have nots, but I haven't really seen it from you through the things you support.
You just don't understand where I'm coming from and that's more than likely my fault. I'm an extremely bitter vet.
After getting worked up in this thread and others recently I've decided to step away. I'm a grown man with a good job and a wonderful family. This game has only made me a worse person in real life. It's cold turkey time.
I won't be back on the PS3. If it makes it to the PS4 I'll come check it out. No way I can handle it on the PC, I am a CAD designer so I'd probably lose everything to this addicting ass game if it were only one click away from my work.
Good riddance to all you sorry bastards!

Maybe keep all your stuff just in case CCP turn it around?
No doubt, I wouldn't do that. FYI you have no idea how many times I've posted about how crazy it is that losing 5 ADV suits means no profit in a match. Only a certifiable idiot wouldn't be able to see how that created the passive, hoarding mentality that plagues Dust today.
I'd wager I've posted about it somewhere between 500 and a 1000 times.
