Apex suits were/are possibly the best NPE that CCP provided, it's a toss up between that and autosquadding. There's no future for a game that only a handful of people are capable of competing in. It's no fun being the king of **** mountain.
This is not something I would have expected you to say. It's refreshing, and I believe you. But from what I've read, you seem to support (to me) the aspects of Dust that are keeping the kings at their current position. All the aspects that contribute to the effectiveness of a vet that we can control like stat modifiers, you want left alone. Yet more abstract things like 'players now have the ability to push back by building wealth and using higher tier gear' you seem to encourage.
Say a player trying to make their way up poop mountain runs a fairly modest 50K ISK ADV suit, they'd have to be very careful with how aggressively they push back because 4 or 5 deaths and they're going to be in the red for the match. I'm not saying things are the same as they were before, but building wealth and using higher tiered gear still aren't all that compatible.
I can see your point of view and I agree with the philosophy of reducing the gap between the haves and the have nots, but I haven't really seen it from you through the things you support.

That is a bit annoying. Just as I start to understand you and maybe even begin to like you, you go away.
Maybe keep all your stuff just in case CCP turn it around?

That's a pretty bad fit in all honesty Don't try to dual tank the fit. You've got speed and shield regen, try switching out the ferro's for some regulators. I would run 2x Shield, 1x Recharger, 1x Damage mod, 2x regulator, 1x kincat, 1x ferro. An excellent blend of speed, damage, and regen. Oh, and the SMG + ACR is redundant. I would recommend running a flaylock instead, or switching the ACR to a burst CR.
Thanks for the advice. I'm a completely useless slayer (probably due to bad fittings :P ) but I might try it out. I was going to start a whole new thread for this but while I've got you, do you know which weapons/variations have optics rather than iron sights?

Thanks! I'm in a funny spot cos technically I'm a closed beta vet, but I've only played sporadically except for the past few months where I've really jumped back in. Never played at any level that would be considered competitive - I've had one or two FW matches and I enjoyed them because the emphasis was on PTFO. I feel like I've really got my head around logi but that's about it.

Even if you guys plan to buff shield tanking in 2016....why wouldn't you prioritize? The community wasn't crying for a galente buff like we were crying about shields. If you guys felt like ARs were underperforming then you should have just buffed the AR like what happened when the rpm was buffed to 800.
When the ascr was "underperforming", there was a buff to the gun. Amarr didn't get a damage bonus to the ascr. Any suit can use the gun with the new changes. This hotfix just seems like a few people getting what they wanted more than what the community needed.
Well, it happened, can't change the past - can only look at changing the future. Getting pissy about something that has already happened isn't going to do anything. There's already discussions on giving the Gal Assault a lighter bonus and moving some of it over to the AR's base stats, so, basically complaining about something that is already being looked into at this point.
It's actually not a bad way to go about it. Restricting the bonus to only one suit means if you went too far the damage would be farily limited (FOTM chasers aside). I'm sure you can see the buff has worked - even if it was a bit too well - and now you've got an idea of what the upper range of the ROF should be without being too broken.
With the crazy number of weapons and variations, Dust is always going to have something or another over/underperforming. So there's always going to be someone asking for something to be buffed or nerfed. Actually that's kinda true for any game with more than a handful of weapons.
