So I've been thinking about getting a militia BPO weapon of some sort and I was wondering do they get the upgrades like normal weapons and get the suit bonuses as well? Or is it just like a normal militia weapon where it gets no bonuses whatsoever? Because if not, I don't think I'll bother getting one.

Yeah they get bonuses. I use a militia smg blueprint on my nomad. BUT everytime i get a kill with it i think to myself "why not just buy a couple thousand std smgs".

Yeah that is true. Eh I think I might get one just to have a BPO weapon (that I like to use...).

How much do the Militia BPO Weapons sell for? I was thinking about buying some with Aurum and selling them for ISK but I need to make sure it is worth it. |

Last I heard boosters were the better bet on that. |

I remember GeorgeN76 was selling his Milita RR BPOs for 16 mil because of the Caldari buff. Then again that's his pricing.

I got a milita SMG bpo,a scrambler pistol bpo(I love scramblers I so want some of their other bpos) a assault rifle bpo and a shotgun bpo. All milita and have claimed quite a few lives and a fair amount of proto. my only gripe is that the milita assualt rail rifle is cancer to the newbros. That thing is so slow to reload that a level 5 speed reloads heavy machine gun can reload faster than that thing.
Ha! You can't kill me! I'm already dead!

MLT weapons agentaren't worth it, IMO. I just use isk STD ones until I get a BPO from the boxes. As far as sidearms go, I either use apex for them, or use the STD ones (thinking of buying MLT BPOs for sidearms as the difference in power is not as great as their big counterparts).

The only downside is really the fitting requirements. Militia is fine, but I would never say that to a newbro I wanted to stick around. Proto is just too great a force multiplier to say militia is all you need.

Might as well buy x mil isk of militia weapons...
5 mil... Guns that are sub 1k...
That's why i never got a mlt lr blueprint.
5 mil / 710 = 7042.25352 mlt laser rifles.
I don't think it's economically smart to buy mlt bpo at the average price they sell for.
Forever ADS. Best role.

You have to add the 'ease of use' value. No worries of restocking. People love to have the infinite fittings on the list.
And please don't suggest anyone to buy those 7042 mlt guns at the same time in advance....
KERO-TRADER is my official Eve character for Dust trading.
Seach "KEROBPO" for list of bpos for sale.

I wouldn't
Cause I'd suggest buying 1000 standard weapons with the help of a commando fit instead
I'd be a hypocrite to suggest the "no restocking" isn't worth it since I spend pretty much all of my isk on APEX bpos now, and have most of the militia BPOs (then again, they have more fitting resources than a standard dropsuit, and when I bought my militia BPOs the price made sense at a few dozen aur each)
But watching people spend millions on militia BPOs who are actually doing it for the purpose of saving ISK is almost painful to me, because its not that far removed from the "minerals I mine are free" people in EVE Online who manufacture and sell items far below the cost of the minerals they could have just sold to the market. Or some of my old EVE buddies who would prefer to mine the minerals for manufacturing themselves rather than place buy orders for the minerals they need while they go off and do something far more profitable (and slightly less mind numbing)
They're saving themselves <500 isk a spawn, and all they have to do for their "investment" to pay for itself is spawn with the worst gear in the game 7000 times. Gj, I guess. Maybe instead of mining in a Venture I should have been using the default Ibis with its civilian mining laser all along
On that note, anyone want to buy my militia locus nade BPO for the low, low price of 7.5m? In just 42,000 spawns, it will pay for itself! You'll be swimming in the ISK in no time! |
