Ever since like a week before FoxFour, many of us, maybe even all of us have experienced it and it's very annoying. The black screen- Deploy into match, Select spawn point, Spawns but nothing appears, A black screen takes place, What most of us do is press start to show the menu and commit suicide and spawn again. This usually works although sometimes there is still a black screen that goes away. What happens next is your character has no weapon and is standing as if inside of warbarge. You cannot run or shoot. I usually got to supply depot and this usually fixes. FIX THIS. ITS ANNIYING. 10+ matches in a row this happens. You see everybody in the match commit suicide. I fixed this holding press Start Button, then the screen appears again. (Tested Yesterday at night). ...SLAYER... Sometimes Pubs are more difficul than PCs, yea Scotty trolls you with a 16 vs 10 and anybody into squad

I've had this bug and the strange thing is, if you can make it to a supply depo to change suits it fixes the issue. Maybe gives you an idea where the bug is coming from? I also ran in to the same thing and on top of that I run in to the spawn bug to were I get the loading circle,I' am stuck in this until the match is over or the game kicks me out of match. And there has been times were I would go to spawn, when the counter hits 0 am removed from battle. I am a director of Endless Haterd

Spam in this order: 'start' L1 Circle (Default Controls) when you get out you will have no weapons or equipment, run to a supply depot and switch suits (different than the one you are in) the first time I switch I always black screen again. Repeat the process until you are out and not in a glitched suit, this hasn't taken me more than the second try.

I can confirm that mashing the "start" button can fix it, at which point you have to waddle all the way to the nearest supply depot and change your suit to regain functionality. They can move but it's only their legs that are animated. It was possible to interact with them, I could melee a blue and I would see their shield effect go off. When I had a black screen and I suicided, as soon as the death animation started the scene began rendering in. I've cycled between spawn > black screen > suicide > pick somewhere different to spawn > black screen etc. a few times today (yay apex suits) and eventually I would spawn correctly (except for the few times we backed out because squad mates). I wish I was taking more notice, but I can't remember seeing any pattern to it. Hope that helps a bit. EDIT: Another thing, it seems to be specific to the battle. I could tell when I got one because I'm a slow spawner (lol playing Dust from Aus) and I'd get a lot of 'x committed suicide' at the start. Spawning in usually confirmed it. It didn't appear to happen to everyone though as the objective would usually get hacked in the normal amount of time. If you didn't get any suicides at the start then it was usually not going to happen at all. Something is killing new player retention.

Only seemed to get it from default spawns and CRUs, wasn't getting it on Uplinks or Mobile CRUs on vehicles. Purifier. First Class.

I've encountered it not just in the first game I played - today, which I did, but 2 games in a row and I've been logged in for over an hour. It seemed to effect large numbers of both teams these times. Both were Dominations, if it matters. I was also kicked out of the match after a minute or two. - I was able to get to a supply depot in the first match and changed suits. Didn't solve the problem. I switched to a second suit - things seemed to be going fine for me (several players on both teams committed suicide). I ran toward the point - got to a place I liked to drop uplinks - hands were there but no image of the uplink. I tried my other equipment (running logi) only weapons would appear and work, everything else was invisible and would not function. Approx 1-2 minutes into the game - got booted out of the match. Next attempt was a little different, I spawned just fine, but several people from both teams committed suicide - frankly it seemed like the whole red team. I ran toward the point. Dropped an uplink. ran further dropped a second one. Killed a red player, shot at some others. My teammates were also shooting, killing and dying. I switched from weapon to scanner and no scanner image. I switched again, hands yes, no injector. Got booted from the match. I hope this helps.

Seriously though, I have just tried 3 matches today and experienced this all 3 times, so given up. Myself & friends all experienced it for a couple of matches yesterday then it seemed okay after that. Also i still black screen and i deleted dust and redownloaded the game. This work around works its like we are still in the warbarge in the game with no weapons.

What is interesting about is that sometimes if I hit the right combo the black screen goes away and I can move - however: nothing works - I cannot fire, cannot see my hands and weapon, cannot call vehicles, but, oddly, I can trigger the inertial dampers if I manage to walk to the opening in the MCC. Sometimes suiciding will resolve the issue and it does not happen again. But a lot of times it continues forcing me to leave the match. At this point, the game is neigh unplayable given the frequency of this issue. Nothing cures bad aim like a mass driver...
HitsTO TheBong Zumari Force Projection Caldari State 0	Posted - 2015.10.20 20:14:00 - [47] - Quote the black screen problem x20 affecting daily mission's ect. as well there are some instances where i've been randomly disconnecting from match after certain action's, ie: climbing to the top of a tall ladder, as well after black screen no gun issue arrives. there has also been some issue to spawning in w/ no black screen where i cannot select a spawn point at all and had to leave battle. as well tried a clean install has'nt seemed to affect the black screen issue or resolved the server connectivity.

Just started again a little over 2 months ago, and have enjoyed playing (except for getting uberkilled of course) until only very recently when I started getting the black screen and the hard freezes. To me they seem to go hand in hand. Guys, CCP, there is simply no excuse for such buggy code. How much testing was done on this, and do you basicly just code stuff then release it to see what damage it does? This is really quite unacceptable anyway you look at it. Just fix it.
