If matches had meta limits, you'd find something else to complain about.

If matches had meta limits you would see commandos and sentinels everywhere, because of their low total meta level. Its fine if one of the enemy is a sentinel with a assault hmg,but 5 of them? Nah.

The problem will always come back around to player skill. Players should be grouped according to skill first and foremost, with other factors dividing up that skill bracket further (SP, etc)
The issue we are faced with is a rather low Concurrent Player Count that makes such sorting difficult to do, and as such players blend in much more with skill brackets they should not be matched against.

You have no idea how long people have been taking about this.
But it's good you mentioned. The more the better.

How? Our low Metalevel comes from a small slot layout. If you boost the meta level of a suit and weapon, we could still rework our suits to be effective and extremely OP with a low meta.
This is why I prefer tierlocking over metalocking.

Matches need flammable material more than they need meta limits.

Indeed, low amounts of phosphorus and small sticks are usually the go to combo for matches.

If matches had meta limits new players would still get stomped, finding matches would take longer, payouts would suck even worse, and NPE would be even more screwed up because of new players having no idea what a meta level even is.

A total meta limit system is too open to abuse, and will still allow vets to run proto.

I am cool with Meta-Locking so long as people understand that the Meta Level for Pubs needs to be at least 52 that way people can use their APEX Dropsuits.
A lot of people paid good money for those suits or they busted their *** grinding to earn those Dropsuits and it would be pretty jacked up to take those out of Pubs.
I am looking at the Marketplace right now and the lowest Meta Level for an unmodified APEX Suit is 31 with the highest Meta Level for an unmodified APEX suit being 52.
**I am editing this to state that I am not yet sure if I am cool with Meta-Locking. I need to look into this more before I can truly say if I am for or against it. |
