Moved this to Features and Ideas Discussion. Personally I think everyone should always make sure to triple-check character names before sending items or ISK, which should prevent anything being sent from a DUST 514 character to an EVE Online character. But that's just my opinion.

EVE Online characters cannot have the same name as DUST 514 characters. They can be similar, but not the same. As long as the trading partners make it crystal clear who to trade with, there is no issue here. Just for a second, forget the fact that the items were sent to an EVE character, and just focus on this - the items were sent to the wrong character. That's a communication problem between the trading partners, that should easily be avoided by clarifying the character-names. You know for a fact, that we're happy to assists in these cases, but honestly, it's really up to the player who is doing the trade to make sure stuff doesn't get sent to the wrong person. Just my opinion.

Maybe you should discuss DUST 514 item trading with your DUST 514 character then...? Don't get me wrong, I understand the issue, and that it could be fixed by removing the possibility to send stuff to EVE characters. But still, what's happening is that they are sending stuff to the wrong character.

I'm not trying to argue here, KEROSIINI-TERO and Sequal's Back. I'm not saying the current system is perfect, or that it wouldn't be better if items couldn't be sent to EVE players. All I'm saying is that if people trade, they should make 100% sure they send stuff to the character that the stuff is supposed to go to. I'm not saying we won't do anything about this either /not saying we will either/. I simply do not have power over the development of Player Trading.
On the other hand, what I can do is to fix every such trade, which I have, every single time so far. Because we understand that people can make mistakes and that the current system is not perfect.
