Pretend for a moment that you are a dev, and you decide that it would help the game to promote the forming of squads instead of remove them. How would you go about encouraging new players to form or join squads? If squads are the problem, then getting those solo people to join squads will fix all the matchmaking problems.
FYI: none constructive posts will be dealt with. |

Just have a team modes and solo modes.
I'd put ambush into solo modes
skirm/dom into team
be able to drag a full 16 into FW
PC is good the way it is. shorter timer attacks should be implemented a 24 hour heads up isn't any fun. Flipping districts should become a regular thing/ not farming. Reward for fighting increased.
Somebody call for an exterminator?

Bring back the Warbarge before pub matches and bring back player icons in chats. This would let new players see available squads with space and then let them join.
Send out a welcome mail with how to make and join squads.

How would that balance such a disadvantage of massive SP players versus lesser SP players .?. also the familiarity / coordination of those who have ready made squads v.s. random players being forced to squad up ?
It still tips the favor in the high SP , familiar and well coordinated squads versus those who have much less experience , much less no familiarity with playing with each other hence , not being as coordinated and not use to working together , couple that with the fact that each game will have random players forming squads compared to those who have experience playing together , still tips the advantage in the high skill point , familiar and well coordinated squads .
That's why I proposed what I did but ...
This just seems not to solve the problem but now creates a greater discrepancy and tips the favor still in the high skill point squads favor .
I always thought that team means more then squad , sometimes a squad can negate not only the opposition but their own team , leaving them with next to no contribution , you might win but what did you contribute to it if you weren't part of that squad ?
Edit : I'm not responding to the response ahead of mine , just to the OP .

This, squad jumping was good, also make a daily mission where you need to get x amount of WP while in a squad

You're guess is as good as mine, but a lot of people seem to think that squads have everything to do with it. Personaly I'd like to see squads more integrated into the teams rather then be their own little group. |

I don't think that squads are the problem , just the fact that stacked squads are killing pub matches because these people treat pub matches like their playing PC matches .
That's why I suggested creating a system of team building inside the warbarge but the teams consist totally of random players with time allotted to create squads for those who choose to .
That seems more balanced to me and keeps one team from being stacked but not only that , it lessens the advantage that ready made and que'd squads have over random players , you still would have your squads , coms and such for coordination but both teams would be on more of an even playing field .
It might help players to not feel overwhelmed by the fact that their mismatched and having less experience as well as skill points .
Some people cant see beyond their own hubris and do what's best for the game and others besides themselves and their friends .
Team means more then squad to me .
Balance means more then friendly / personal preference .
Less players leaving from balanced matches , less players AFKing , more TEAM aspect and comradery from all contributing not just a select few and a better NPE experience from retention and players that wouldn't normally talk and working together , doing so .
Some just can't understand that and it seems like CCP doesn't either , it's time to start doing what's best for the game , not a select few .
You still would have FW and PC matches and that might just increase the PC matches being played or those who are fighting this are just trying to keep the old system in place to keep their K/D's up while stomping players who find zero fun or interest in-game from having this experience .

Hopefully it will happen .

That is what I'm pushing for as well . Hopefully it will happen . Squads, to me at least, seem more like they should just be the promise that your friends will come with you, rather then be the mini team among strangers that they are now. Maybe it would be best to put everyone in team chat, and allow the team to vote on a team leader (like squad leader, but for the entire team.). |

I've said this somewhere else, but: - Put everyone into the team voice channel at the start of a match (and add a mute player function). - Scan sharing is based on proximity to the player scanning rather than by squad.
With that system it won't even matter if you're in a squad or not as far as teamwork goes.
As for encouraging people to join squads: - I like the daily mission idea. - Improve the squad finder to let members designate the role(s) they'd be playing and to let the leader nominate roles they'd like filled. Probably things that shouldn't be done but would give the best end result: - Automatically place solo players in a squad when they join a match - Only enable the deployment option to a squad leader with squad members |
