I did just now. Pre patch I ran my shield based fit with a single kin cat on open maps and 2 in city maps. What's the point of having shield regen if you don't have the speed to utilize it to it's fullest.
3 might be going a bit overboard in the past but could work with new recharge rates. |

It appears that making it so regs are useful and desirable on certain fits while eliminating them being mandatory was successful.
Watch the triple kincats though. Cal stamina is crap and the regen is worse
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

2 max. On that stam, I've heard people complain of it and reason because of it kin cats are near useless. I just need to go a few feet around a bend. Don't need that much stamina at a time, just enough to break combat and start regen. Not to mention it's hard to hit something that's basically stutter stepping. Quick forward, slower forward, another burst forward. |

True, lowering the need for regs has really opened up some possibilities in your lows. |

That was kinda a big thing to me and likely a few others. Forcing shield users to use a specific cookie cutter fit or be lunch meat for everyone is bad meta.
Shield suits should have similar utility fitting options to armor or they wind up being niche fits.

Like armour.
I've been seeing tons of Caldari suits with armour that equals or surpasses their shields.
Minotaurs are sexy.

We'll see how long that lasts vs gallente and amarr suits in cqc

I love this buff, I've been running Cal Assault almost exclusively for a few months.
I can't wait to try out the update later today. Hopefully I'll be able to play (getting a torn bicep repaired in a few hours).
Seriously, port it.

I'm thinking the ability to run the hell away from a Gal assault with an AR would be a high priority. Speed should be useful to remain at range. |

Watch the triple kincats though. Cal stamina is crap and the regen is worse Personally I have know idea why they decide to make caldari slow. They have practical no Amor and should be quiet fast but for some reason there speed is similar to the gal's (which is also terrible)

Somewhat off topic but Caldari ships in Eve are some of the slowest in the game. Not that this was the reason why Caldari are slow, just figured I'd point it out as an association lol

I agree. The caldari feels so slow on the field.
