- Almost all of my friends that I started playing this game with have left, and it is difficult to motivate myself to play at the highest level of competition without some friendly support, banter, etc
- You have to plan too much time around it. Because there are so many experienced players, and so few slot on the roster, players need to be dedicating an extraordinary amount of time just to be considered for the PC queue. Then, you have to find a spot within the top 16 roster. Missing PCs, even if you don't play them, hurts your chances of getting to play them because you didn't bother to show up
- Lag. The whole game is laggy. You're experience with FW being "the most laggy" is as circumstantial as my experience with PC. Regardless of which game mode is worse, it's a huge letdown to go through all of the aforementioned steps only to go 5/10 because you were playing a slide show
- Pointlessness on two levels. On the largest scale, PC feels pointless because we're not doing anything. For most corps, you claim land in a glorified skirmish match (and I love skirmish) for a big pay check. That's it. That's all its ever been. And that's just gotten boring to me. On a smaller scale, PC is only "tumultuous" for the top corps. If you are a small, medium, new, or any combination of the three, I am of the opinion that all of those victories are hollow. You've "earned" the land because the top corps have not decided to take it from you. And this is not meant to bash top tier corps. They've done well with the system provided for them, and they should continue to play the hardest that they can.
That's a few, anyway I love the gameplay and level of competition that PC can offer, when it works.
Piercing Serenity's points two, three and four are what keep me out of PC.
Point four removes the will to participate/engage: Dust is my first shooter, i came here for New Eden, not for a half-baked lobby shooter.
Point two - I PC'd a fair bit in the beginning, but with the game in it's current death march state i cannot justify the time that PC participation takes away from family.
Point Three serves as a large multiplier that amplifies the frustrations that come from Points two and four.
Even on PC or PS4 this argument does not substantially change. CCP will need to resume stewardship of their game before we see any real improvement, imo.
