This has been suggested in the past, and as always I support this solution. To add to it, you should be allowed to fight for the other team straight away instead of being forced to terminate and respawn. This plays on the essence of New Eden: Sabatoge and Betrayal.

You guys state dust is a lobby shooter so why not make it an actual lobby shooter?
Good idea except for the no leaving bit. Lets be realistic here. As a solo parent I will sometimes have to leave my match if someone happens to my daughter. Also other real life circumstances might drag me away from a match. Also what if there was a power outage or the internet packs a sh.t and drops out.
Some people do have legitimate reasons when they leave, though most do it because of protostompers, losing isk, dont want to play that map, and other bullsh.t reasons.

Do I have to put it more plainly? That's always the same answer from you guys. IDC that you have RL problems going on go and quit the game to deal with it I mean (like I said) making the cosious decision to go hit start and leave battle. I get dcd too I have rl problems too its not like you're the only one that lives outside of dust. To proto stomping: thes matches would be meta locked and you be able to know which map you were fighting on beforehand. Every argument you made can be fixed very easily with lobbies and meta locking... Not one or the other BOTH.
You mad at nothing bro. I just pointed out a single flaw and that people have lives outside of games, never implied you didnt, so calm yourself.
Also those people who leave for bullsh.t reasons that don't have to deal with real life stuff at the time can still do it by powering off their PS3 and turning it back on or going into the XMB and quitting the game. Your solution of removing the leave battle option solves nothing.
Lobby matches are good, however meta locking would mean the rise of heavies in the lower meta as you can have a proto sentinel suit with 38 meta level, that includes proto weapons and mods. We have the lowest amount of slots and the lowest meta. Protostomping will be replaced with heavy stomping. Rifle Sentinels would be a thing again or even proto commandos in the low meta matches. If you put the meta lock too low, you will have the same problem we have now: Protostomping.
Having the ability to change to the opposing force on the spot would be a decent fix. Another solution would be to fix the meta level on heavies then introduce the meta lock, but as it stands now, meta locking will not help.
