Thought I'd share this. Looks like that thread derailed right into a big ball of unsubstantiated tinfoil.
Because there is nothing right now. No info. No stuff. No reasson.

My point was these threads should be used as a place to voice support for more communication from CCP. Tinfoiling doesn't do much for us except cause silly arguments about platforms and "where it all went wrong".
If you want to bait someone, my friend. Bait CCP not me, im out.

Letting everyone know that the boycott is not in keeping with the spirit of #PortDust514. We are attempting to reach out to CCP without making threats of a "show of force". A boycott is, however mild, a threatening gesture. I understand the frustration that players are having, I do. I really do. A boycott is not the answer though.
And what is answer?
Be blind sheep in shadow of CCP silence? For whole that time there was bigger push foe EvE and other things. And even after the article, where they basicaly stated Dust like profitable they still support more Implements for EvE online, apps like gunjack and Valkyrie.
Where is somethig for us, if we are that profitable? In new skins or keys, or another moneytizations?
Honestly after the years with lag, bugs and no love for any other implements. I want to change thing to better, i want to make dust better, i want to see what we have and what we can have.
We are the blood, the life of this game and i do not see reasson of silence. Where is that CCP listening to community?
If they listen why they are still silent.
Frustration is not what myself or supporting community wants. Are you really fine with concept of neverending bugs and lag in game with CCP silence like bonus? This was issue before and this is issue still.
Years of nothing just waitnig for miracle, but i see how Brothers and Sisters of strike are likeminded like me. I see community what have enough and honestly it is time to do something with that. They are nothing without us and they need to know we want dust be better. There is no usage of new ship in EvE to us, we want Dust better. We want future for our game.
And because that we fight this fight a good fight for better of dust, for its future and for better more open relations.
We all know silence just hurts already small community. But we snad up and show our voice, voice for future.

I really do. A boycott is not the answer though. And what is answer? -SNIP- Honestly, I don't get you and your goals. A call for a port is understandable, and we have been heard. However you can't imagine that such work would be instant or that CCP would ever 'cave in' and announce anything dependent on aggressive actions. if a port is coming, then it will happen regardless of this 'strike' or not. If one is not coming then nothing will change. Still trying to cause grief to the employees of a company for no other reason than to appease your own ego is not a worthy or productive goal. It does not give you any power, nor does it help anyone do anything. All this action amounts to is a display of false activism. Aggression muddies the waters of proper discourse, and only serves to exacerbate a problem, not help others see a solution.
You do not get it. This is not only about the port. Our strike is about our treatment, relationship, open information and most importantly about future of dust. How you already know or not CCP left name Legion behind, abadoned. And after major push for moneytization (through keys and skins) and after article where they told:"Dust is profitable." we still can see more implements on other parts of EvE universe.
EvE online had many implements, there was made app gunjack and some info was released about vakyrie. But where is dust?
And that is reasson why we stand up, we basicaly just want to make thing better and this is only and nondrastic way how we want from CCP to see and hear us.
We are unsure and unsatisfy and because we are basicaly unsure about the future. CCP had plenty of time for more info, bugfixes, optimization and implementation but nothing happened. All cream just went somewhere else because we all know it now dissapear.
We just want thing better, nothing else.

Got a question for you. this is not a defense of the silence. How many times has a dev shared information, and not been responded to in the following manner: "You're an idiot" directly or indirectly, "you're lying about X data" or "you're only providing enough to prove your point but you're being deceptive," or been told they're ruining the game? This is a two-way street.
I was negative i was and im still on some points negative about development. BTW i never called someone idiot people have sometimes different views. But what we need is dialog not silence. Company must accept criticism even the negative one.
Again i must admit i do not trust about whole funding for example. Because there was voices about how they have small team, but if i read somewhere how dust is profitable? Money makes jobs, we all know this.
but enough about my paranoia back to topic
You gave me question and honestly there i have question for you.
When we had some vox populi here? When we had open conversation about development?
Do you think people sees better lights more important that disconnection or skins more important than lag reduction? Do you think people think silence is better than dialog?
We all here are community and some of us are here since beta ergo we care about game. And that is basicaly reasson for all of this.

They simply won't. Doesn't matter how much you want otherwise.
As to open discussions, CCP under rattati has been more open about communicating and accepting player input. Hotfix Foxfour was almost entirely changes proposed and developed by players.
The CPM exists as a filter for people who cannot read every single post and still have enough time to do their jobs.
The silence, while aggravating, is grounded very firmly in real issues. I may disagree with it, but I fully understand it. We're not going to change it without both the EVE and DUST community ratcheting back the open hostility by a few dozen newton-meters of torque.
Nothing in the community's overall responses to any given change indicate that sharing more would be a good idea. It's a two-way street.
The lag thing I can't speak on.
And I've been here since beta, does this mean I care less because I don't see things through your lens?
Nope you took it wrong (i blame my crappy english). I meant we doing what we doing because we want better game. And about beta, i was here since closed one and im still here ergo i care/ i like.

And the people who made this thread want CCP to move the game to another platform so the game can be made better and not be hamstrung by a nine year old console's limitations. Currently you bringing in the whole DUST strike crap here is derailing this thread and undermining their efforts.
you are wrong again inform please yourself in strike thread, im out for now

It makes me wonder though, are they keeping their silence because they are scared to anger us? Are they staying silent because of some disdain or disregard for the future of this game?
Little interesting idea. What if we got the names of people willing to purchase AUR for information. Such as 'sir RAVEN WING - $5 upon release of info' This may give them a tasty temptation, but could they resist it? Is it even a good idea? (It has some problems with it, I know that, but would the root idea be any good?) No. Holding your currency hostage isn't going to improve anything. This is a free to play game. Saying 'I'll spend X amount of money if you tell us Y' isn't going to change their attitudes about the silence. Especially not a measly $5 from one person for information about the game that would be spread to the masses. This is a game company, not a desperate crack addict. They need to do what is in their best interest. Right now, they believe that to be staying silent.
If there will be another Rouge weding i want to have for all active dust community our statue. That can be awesome XD
