Finally a CPM that knows what truly matters in a video game.

Out of curiosity, is that based solely around the possibility of the game moving from consoles to PC?

Just to throw my two cents of support on the pile, as a long time EVE player who also loves FPSs on PC and console...

I love New Eden. I bought a PS3 solely to play Dust. The game stands on its own merits as a good, thinker's, high TTK sci-fi shooter, and that it's free-to-play and set in such an epic background is just awesomeness icing.

It's a damned shame that it's pinned to the aging PS3. It deserves the rebirth that any other epic shooter saga gets every handful of years when the platform tech ceases to do justice to the underlying IP.

I have a group of gamers that plays PC FPSs together, who universally lament the dearth of sci-fi shooter offerings on the current market. They've watched me play Dust. They like it. They're not going to dive in and buy a PS3 as I did just to play it, but if it showed up on the PC with updated textures and optimized controls, they'd play it in a heartbeat. If it ALSO had some of the Legion features we heard about before radio silence, they'd play the **** out of it and probably not play much else.

What a shame it would be to throw away all that potential and growth just to satisfy the handful of people that won't follow Dust where so many of us think it's meant to go.

EDIT: as an optimist, I'm leaning toward the explanation that CCP is silent on the matter mainly in order not to divert attention from Valkyrie. Fine. But throw us a bone. What PR harm could come of "We hear you, and we will address Dust and its future in more detail once the limelight has shifted off of the Valkyrie release"?
