Why not just play some EVE and make that corporation now? Takes a few weeks to train all the skills so that you can have a good member base. |

Partly because I actually am too poor to afford the sub right now (sad, I know), and also because we still don't really know the full functionality of corporations between EVE and DUST. Such as, will it really be as simple as starting a corp in EVE and using it as a DUST corp? Or will you have to start a corp in DUST first, and invite EVE players to it? I know the general consensus seems to be they'll be exactly the same between the two games, I'm just not so sure is all.
Also, I'm currently in an existing corporation on my EVE account, and wouldn't want to abandon them to start a corp that won't see much if any use for the next few months.

Well, I still need money to re open the account, and back when I was playing I was only making about 10 mil per day, I just mess around with PI and haul a bit mainly (plus missions on the side). I'm still pretty new to EVE quite frankly, though I'm really hoping I can make enough ISK in DUST to foot the bill for my EVE account some day ;) |

There are all kinds of access to hangars and such. As for the corp itself, both Eve and Dust players can join, which means that the CEO can be a player in either; also, there are mechanics for transferring CEO roles. I'm a 4 year vet of Eve, and have run corps as large as 200 man in my time. Now, though, I'm a bit burned out on leadership on that level - I just want to have fun. |

Hello hello, lets see what I've got
As far as FPS go, I've played a few but the one I played the most was Halo 2 back in the day, and I was pretty mean at that. I have a few friends who were sponsored and went to MLG tournaments and the like, and I trained with them a lot (though I was never quite as good as them). I look at FPS games kind of like riding a bike, once you learn you never really forget. In this game at least, when I'm not dicking around or flying my dropship, I will almost always take up one of the top slots for KDR in my team (while still capping objectives and what not), even when rocking full militia gear I usually come out ahead.
Whether or not I will be a good leader, I guess that's a little hard to say, as I haven't run too many corporations / guilds before. I'm pretty good at assessing peoples skills and making sure they're working where their skills will give them the best advantage, and I'm pretty good at thinking tactically and strategically. I have a couple friends who are very tactically inclined, though not the best at FPS, and I hope to get them in as dedicated gunners / tactical advisers (depending on just how in depth tactics come into play, which I'm assuming will be very much so). I'm good at mingling and handling just about any kind of person, as well as defusing stupid social problems that so often come with people.
In case it's relevant, I do have an EVE account which I hope to reopen soon (damndable poor), though I'm admittedly still pretty new to it. I'm actually pretty good with managing the growth of my skills, while minor, it is nice to not waste SP when and where it isn't needed. Depending on how ISK transfer between EVE and DUST goes, I will be able to put a small amount of funds towards getting us some armor and dropsuits with all their modules right after release, though that's still all up in the air.
As far as recruits go, I will personally be doing trial runs with everyone once the game comes out. I'll be looking for ability to clearly communicate, to maintain a strong KDR if fitted for damage, ability to follow orders and cap objectives, supporting the squad if your spec'd for that...basically, I don't want to teach anyone. I want people who already know what they're doing, there will be plenty of other corps dedicated to teaching newer players.
Lastly, in terms of spies, I fully anticipate this, and I look at spies in much the way Sun Tzu does. As he says in the Art of War, "Spies are a most important element in war, because on them depends an army's ability to move." I will be researching some of the prominent methods in EVE for finding spies, though I know it's actually insanely in depth and I'll be looking for more tech oriented people to help me with that end should the corp start to flourish. I have my ways of dealing with spies, I am a very crafty individual, and I know that misinformation is a powerful countermeasure when dealing with spies, amongst other methods
Can I answer anything else for you?
EDIT: In my rant I seem to have danced around your part about EVE pilots and Alliances, those are both something I will be looking into deeply the closer we get to release / as soon as my account is active again. |

I remember hearing bits and pieces about Dust and Eve NOT being linked when Dust goes live, but they are certainly making sure assets don't overlap (the whole resetting so the character names don't overlap). Also, I think there was mention that Characters in Dust could belong to Eve Corporations, but, since they haven't added that part of the game to our Beta yet, who knows how that will flesh out.
I'm interested, and meet the "age" requirement and even want to join a Corp, but until I know more about what they decide to implement, and how, its less of a rush to me (and most others I'd think :) ).
Now to start up an Eve account and start working on THAT side of things (darn vicious cycle works BOTH ways. I had a PS3, I heard about Dust, from Dust I heard about Eve, now I have to find time to try it ... sigh ... ) |

You, sir, are the target demographic for this game - get non-Eve players into the Eve universe and lo and behold they have to try Eve and once you try Eve, well, she's the prostitute with a heart of gold that we all fall in love with, and are convinced she loves us more than the next chump...

That might change come the new build, currently the hit detection is a bit off, that coupled with lag can make it very hard to hit people some times. The new build on the 29th should, hopefully, prove to reduce this and even things out a bit more. Regardless, whether you want to be a pilot we will certainly be looking, and we'll also be needing gunners as well, so whatever you end up doing...so long as you do it well, should be ok.
And just for anyone reading this in general, please note that these are just tryouts right now, no one is guaranteed admittance without my say so. As we get closer to release, I will schedule tryout times, likely one to two weeks after release, and I will hold a tryout period for most likely 2 weeks to a month. In terms of initial membership, I'm thinking on taking in (having trouble describing this haha), 1.5x the amount of players allowed in the biggest type of match. So lets say we get 24v24, I would be looking for 36 players. If 32v32, then 48 players, etc etc. As for the EVE division, that's still to be decided.
Anyways, I will add you on PSN shortly

It's called RP, and it's a good way to ensure the corp name isn't taken. We're a family of immortal Galenteans (the Khali'un's) that would like to gain a foothold in the universe, through industry and through warfare. I also like KIN, though I'm not sure how tickers work and if they have to be unique then it's most likely already taken.
I think it has a cool RP flair to it, us hiring soldiers that utilize still barely known technology to make our presence known, I like it. Also, this is DUST, not CoD 75, corps are actually living, thriving entities, not stat blocks and friends lists. |

No need for some time, we're only getting high sec at first. Also, I will be working hard behind the scenes to get us in good with a strong Alliance, and hopefully I can land us some territory free of charge, or at least nice and cheap. Thank you for the offer though

what is this "clan" you speak of? This is a game of immortal soldiers that operate in the same beliefs of the immortal capsuleers that fly internet spaceships. We create serious corps for serious lolz, serious hot drops, serious fail fits [wait....] serious district ownership, serious etc.
Wait till API is required to join a corp. Wait for SP requirements.
But, since I'm not here to join up, already part of a great corp, I'll help out the future Corp CEO.
Many corps have posted in public forums, Grideris' forums are pretty common public site you can recruit on once you get a website for applicants to join or whatever why you wish to do it. The site is www.dust514.org
Many corporations have a thread they visit to bump so possible recruits see them first.
Hope I helped. |

Yea, the name is still up in the air, Khali'un Industrials is the name of the corp I wanted to start in EVE, it might stick but I might just keep it as an allied Corp. I just wanted to have a name associated with us for the time being instead of "Corporation Name Pending" lol

This is Khazra. I don't have an active EVE account right now so I can't take you up on your offer. I'll have to see, I'm probably gonna go solo though, depending on how everything goes. Worst case scenario, we can ally with each others corps and go from there ^_^
Now, gonna experiment with that vet thing...one sec... |
