This is what balance looks like. All scout suits work great in their niche, but none stand out decidedly above the others.
Except the amarr scout, that turd sinks to the bottom of each list.

The three categories to rank them in are as follows:(please rate a race in one of the following categories or all that applies) Ewar Assassinating Survivability Hopefully ya'll have something to say on this topic as I'm officially out of my element here. I personally struggle with trying to find what my Caldari State Hawk Scout is good at. As a committed Caldari, I only use Caldari suits and equipment. So I don't switch from one to another to try to find the best one for a given role. As far as I can gather, the Caldari scout is good for moving fast over distances outdoors, cloaked, and semi-sniping with the RR from behind a hill or something. Not really what I'd consider "scout" activity.... Recon & slay from the flanks is where caldari scouts shine. With the damn & passive range bonus cals can get close & provide non stop passive scans. Only problem is standing nearly naked, uncloaked, right next to the reds doesn't allow you to do it long.
With ewar being so f'd right now, uour best bet is to stack dmg mods (go krins)in your highs, damp & kincat in your lows. I'll run a RR with magsec or a ARR with a bolt pistol. Slap on either a scanner or uplinks & your good to go. With this, the bonus will show itself as catching red scouts with 1-2 extra seconds before they gank you.
Personally, cal scout is my fav followed by gal then min.

Gallente have all those highs. Only low slot mods that lend themselves to scouting are myofibs, dmg mods, precision enhancers & range amps. The last 2 are seriously gimped with current ewar. Caldari nerfed to the ground again, just like logi's.

You have confused high slots with low slots and vice versa. Otherwise the analysis is spot on. Damn it, thanks. Next time i'll finish coffee first.

Personally, cal scout is my fav followed by gal then min. Thanks for this^. I've sort of figured out some of it already. Yes, slaying from the flanks is what it seems to be quite good at. The RR is devastating with ADS at huge range. I hadn't really thought about the other passive bonuses, but it's nice to know the Cal scout has them. I'll look into your recommendations about modules high and low. Sounds good to me. I prefer the magsec/RR combination to the bolt/ARR one, but the Hawk Scout comes with RR and bolt, both slow firing, so not good for any close range work. It's nice to know "my" racial scout has at least a few benefits. :)
IMO, Cal scout best scout, because caldari. Love my hawk suit. The RR/BP combo it comes with is why i mentioned flipping to the ARR or magsex, brings balance.
