Clearly the majority of the playerbase would love a next gen DUST 514 or hell even a port to better technology so that we may actually see the true potential for the game.
I love DUST 514, the scary thing is I'm not even 100% sure why. But I know we would all love a new DUST.
There is only one voice which will tell CCP to port and that is the voice of reason from money drying up. Why would they leave when they get to sit here on an outdated system and milk up tons of money on pretty colors and 1% damage?

They have, in the past, shown what they would have in the hopes of getting interest started. They did it with World of Darkness but it got stuck in development limbo for 8 years before it was permanently shelved and $20 million in research and development down the drain. Even before that, they did it with Incarna with walking in stations for Eve Online players. All we got were small racial rooms like you see in your merc quarters with no clear exit other than going out to the balcony where our ships were waiting. That and there were a crap ton of bugs and people's hardware were reportedly crashing due to poor client optimization. Immediately after that, the "Greed is Good" letter got leaked, CCP mishandled the reaction with a response that seems to slap us all in the face with $1,000 jeans and $70 golden monocles back in 2011. Then came the still-fresh-in-our-minds Rouge Wedding back in 2014 with the announcement of Project Legion which eventually whose forum section became a ghost town for over a year now.
Three times.
Three times CCP shot itself in the foot every time they opened their mouths to show anything they have. Because of this, they developed a new policy of "don't say anything unless it is actually ready." This caused CCP to become strangely silent for long periods of time back when players got use to CCP saying anything at all.
This times, silence is something most of us now expect. But even then, CCP can only keep quiet for so long before people finally start losing their patience.
I actually had not seen the "Greed is Good" memos. After reading any of those how can a single person here really argue that Dust is going to leave PS3 a single day before it goes negative.
People need to stop spending money on this game like yesterday so that we have a chance of a port.
The only voice for a port is the voice of reason from money drying up.
More skins and 1% damage to keep Dust on PS3.

Maken Tosch wrote: Catch-22 in that statement.
No it is not a catch 22 at all. CCP is not going to spend millions of dollars on making the switch when they can sit around here on PS3, spending little money on a skeleton crew and depart fools from their money at what seems to be a rapidly expanding pace.
In the memo about Incarna he says:
Quote:Currently we are seeing very predictable feedback on what we are doing. Having the perspective of having done this for a decade, I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say.
What exactly are we "doing" by sitting here pumping money into a dead console that we all say we want to get off of?
Obviously CCP is simply realizing that they are free to go crazy with the lines of thinking that went caused such an uprising in Incarna.
Why is it that no one is even willing to ***** about the fact that CCP is attempting to charge well over $1000 for the cool down on the warbarge just to get 1% more damage?

Well part of my last lore push was all about in the long run having a massive group of pc players claim they are "slavers" https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/SlaverMeaning an entire region owned and operated in the heart of Minmatar territory to harvest "servants" using the lore that EvE is so heavily focused on CCP Falcon dealt with mittens and max for 50 minutes talking about it. People that is the extent of us trolling. Pretty Amarrian Religious words. What if we put our epeens aside and had a port Dust 514 corp owning districts or dare I say 100%?
I would gladly get behind that blue donut.
Blue it up and stop playing PC entirely. Message = sent.

No port announcement confirmed.

Meant yet another port thread. Keeping the ramblings in one place to easily ignore is much better for everyone involved. |

While I disagree with your statement you are showing the fundamental flaw in CCPs total silence.
What can anyone say to argue against your point? |
