I let some meathead talk me into buying this. Most generic linear game, WoW on console, except WoW actually has some complexity. ESO loot system is get to the next bracket and refine the weapon for more damage. You cannot level up thru grinding in any reasonable manner which sux because the combat is fun, your forced to do extremely generic quests, it literally just said "deliver the pizza" on my screen as a quest objective. To top it off you have loosers high levs hanging out in low lev zones doing what max lev PVEers do best- kill stealing, ii've never seen it more rampant. I tried the pvp zone which took days to que for and left after a half hour of seing no other players or any kind of AI. I'm sure i was looking in wrong spot but point aside this game sux and as usual a good line of game got butchered by going MMO, dont waste your money on this crap unless your really into bad stories about collectings weeds so an elf can save her village or something. The zombies were kinda cool, i guess. At least i could pretend i was playing the walking dead.

Still waiting on a fight night boxing for next gen = pathetic, ps2 no longer excites me it's still good but no longer gives me a rush, i'm like playing it with mind half there, the fx and low pops certainly dont help, very poor comms and networking tools, a shadow of the pc version, if i could eject worthless gunners it would be worth logging in. Fkers are afk in my ship. Have the sims 2 on laptop for all thats worth. At least i found the admin name/pw at work now i can install galactic civ 2 there. How did anyone endure the redundancy of ESO to max lev it's actually worse than WoW when looking past bells and whistles.

Well, other than not giving a toss about deep story (read a fking book) that pos turned out to be EXACTLY like wow but re skinned as star wars. It looked nice and was nice to be in the star wars realm but what a joke.
Now he's playing ESO and telling me all this cool stuff with no negatives which leads me to think it's just another load of toss that is better read in a book, no need to make a game about it. It's currently going for -ú54.99 on steam (could have changed in the last 12 hours though).
Galactic civ 2 is a sexy beast *tips hat*.
I really don't care about story. I like a good bit of lore to back up all the content and experiences i have, no the other way around as that makes for a bland game which is better off being a book or film in my opnion.
I have recently downloaded TERA and Stormforge but barely played. They both look really good.
As for ps2 on ps4, the devs are slowly but surely finally listening to what the pc vets have been saying for ages and they are making changes but taking ages, so best to come back to ps2 in about 4 months, maybe a bit more.
Anyway, what is there to do in ESO? I really don't care about the story.
I remember when SWTOR was being hyped up because i was playing star wars galaxies which had one of the most awesome unique space PVP ever, no 2 ships were exactly the same stat wise and there was a lot of basic number crunching to min/maxing a ship, you had to mine for the resources to build ships and grind out the crafting tree, but you could also just buy the ship/parts from a crafter. We knew SWG was ending the moment they announced SWTOR. SWG was very mismanaged and flawed but the space PVP was unreplaceable. The feeling you get from shooting down a YT-1300 with a single fighter.. 3 minute fight..
I'm the same as you I dont care about a story line. Except for GTA I will listen to GTA story lines. that is the problem with ESO. Or not because it's very appealing to players who listen to the story line, the voice acting is really good i guess but i just end up skipping it all so i can get the next waypoint on my compass/radar which is either kill something, collect something, or talk to the next NPC.
ESO is not a bad game, it just becomes rather obvious the tight pattern towards end game to players who are burnt out on that style of MMO. If i had played ESO 15 years ago I would have been blown away, but too many MMO's have made me the bitter one who will not listen to story or stop to smell the roses, where is my next skill point and PVP? I think the PVP might be really good, but it took too long to que for..
Then again I am playing solo, so my perspective is rather skewed, I made a high damage glass cannon stealth char that kills things +8 it's level and i get annoyed with ppl who are way higher level than the area, PVE'ers these days... like i''m supposed to be impressed by the guy who just killed something 15 levels lower than him, the community is typical of PVE on console- they kill steal and a group won't wait for you if the game crashes when entering a dungeon.
they're foaming at the mouth for max level and your just a tool for them at that moment but if you had good ppl to play with all the time ESO could be Really fun. I'm pretty ignorant of the more advanced parts of the game but I see a repeating pattern forming towards end game, which is making loot and crafting a very mundane endeavor. there is a lot to min/max but there is a lot lacking in the loot/crafting system to make it that exciting.
would say try it for a few days if you can for free or if you can afford it, you can always take it back to gamestop in 7 days..
i still like PS2 a lot i got ok at it but it's random if i find a good gunner because i like to fly galaxies %50 of the time, if i have a good gunner it is epic. we've kept a galaxy flying for over an hour while being warp gated but when TR actually gets warp gated i found is the best time to fly a gal or lib, but imo the lib requires very good comms which i dont normally have turned on so i'm holding back on spending more certs on the lib until i get a solid gunner but i pretty much have the galaxy maxed out because it can do ok with random gunners, it can farm many certs sometimes especially with proxy repair or ammo resupply, or sometimes it is just fail.
