It pains me to see a gallente assault or commando use caldari weaponry or anything non gallente for that matter. Sentinels, scouts, and logis can use whatever they please . Its a sandbox. To see someone invest nearly 3 mil sp onto a suit whose that loses half of its bonuses by using non racial weaponry is the epitome of **** you lover of that particular suit.
If you truly loved your RR Bp combo you'd go caldari assault. Damn all you heathens. **** you too especially Leonidas.
Any other lovers of any particular suit out there that get irked seeing this sorta crap ? I know I use to send hatemails about this all the time. Ever since the arr and bp buff a while back I stopped because I don't have time to mail every other gallente assault I see about why the AR ion pistol and gallente assault are the perfect trio.

I wouldn't say the non racial rifles are better. I'd say you should've shown em who the real ******* minmando is. Use the mass driver much ? You can hit targets well out of Cr range with some practice.

I just don't see the point! In both EvE and here in Dust, I'm training exclusively Caldari. I figure maxing out all the Caldari skills and using the weapons, modules and suits/ships that go with them is the way to achieve the epitome of fittings, and the best out of them. Anything less than level 5 of everything, used on equipment that doesn't fit the skills is just a waste.
I've noticed that the racial bonuses aren't that well understood or used in this game. People use Minmatar suits then put Gallente weapons on them, like Assault Rifles (blasters), completely missing the point that there's no bonuses for them on Minmatar suits. Any other combination will be exactly the same. Only the basic suits that don't have bonuses will not be wasted, but of course, people are running around in elite suits with the wrong weapons for them. Completely pointless.
I'm not saying that eventually I wouldn't train the other races, after all they do have some cool gear, but to do so would delay maxing out my Caldari skills, and dilute the Caldari training with training in other weapons, none of which I could gain bonuses for, unless I train their suits as well...

Yup I totally get you bud. Why use it if your not going to go all the way and really REALLY use it ? I think people do it at this point just to upset me. They ruin the suits purity, take away its bonus, and then get killed by a person who really loves the suit for what it is, not what it doesn't have.

I use racial rifles on the right suits, but I ALWAYS use the Breach SMG as a sidearm just because it's so OP.
My sweet summer is gone.

Lol breach smg is kinda wonky. Enough ammo to kill three mediums down to armor almost as fast as my AR could x)

The only non cal weppns I use are the quafe bpos that CCP has given me . other than that it's all cal teck .

Weapon inferiority doesn't not prohibit experimentation. I run knives on all 4 racial scout suits :)

To be clear, the whole idea right from the start of EvE was racial variants and type of training would be preprogrammed by the choice of race and bloodline. The training was easier if you followed your racial bloodline path, and it was only because of players asking for the ability to easily train other races that they removed these restrictions. However you're still better off to stick with the training you start with, unless you're certain you really want to make the switch.
With Dust, the training is formulated for you by the suit fitting progression. You can of course, choose to train any and all of them, but you will be reasonably cr@p at all of them, until you get to a certain minimum level. By sticking with the one race fro an extended time, you get good at one race fast, then you still have the option of training the other races later on. I prefer to do it this way rather than always chasing FOTM, for instance. |

And I'm glad for the rof ar bonus too.
I only got my suits racially. Ar with galass, rr with calass, etc. I don't like weird combos

I'm just weird like that. I like keeping the theme on fits.

I've always been big on pairing racial weapons with suits. My minmando runs only crs swarms and mds, ars on my gal ass, rrs on my cal ass, rails and snipers on my calmando, etc.
The only exception is the md. I'll run that on either min or gal logi and I have it equipped on my ratattis, archduke and frames

I make occasional exceptions for the mass driver, sniper rifle, and SMG, along with the laser rifle+combat rifle (I only use the LR/CR because I got Quafe versions from the lockbox, and I only ever use the Quafe versions)...Outside of that, I'm all Gal...I've got all Gal classes at level 5, and I've got four of the Gal APEX suits (all I'm missing is the Atlas)...
Well, I also use the HMG/Forge, but I don't know what races they belong to... |

My main suit since I started has been an Amarr Assault with ScR or AScR (mostly AScR since I have terrible aim), and a Scr Pistol for when my run dry mid-fire fight.
Other suits I have are Am Assault with LR, Am Logi with 2 spawn beacons, an Am Sent with HMG (since no Am H) and most recently I am even trying a Am Scout with AScR, beacon, and Scanner.
What I am trying to say is... I am in fairly deep with the Amarr. Lasers and Armor and Faith!

Kinda just used nothing but shotguns and scrambler pistols on my amarr scout,but I was digging the assult rifle for a while(even before this buff that's happening) (its not underpowered you gotta focus fire on the chest and let recoil get you a headshot.)
Now I'm feeling the combat rifle groove. So pie

AR is the same way. Its not up . Its deadly as **** if your accurate. I always hipfire upper chest throat region. The upcoming buff is only to the gal assault and a range normalization of the assault variants right ? I would call it a buff to the AR by a Nerf to other assault variants ranges.

I know a Calmando who would make you regret that x) sniper swarms man. In the right place no one can kill you besides another sniper( of some sort) or really pissed of clone who gives no fucks.

I've only had my character for a couple months, initially totally unaware of these bonuses until I read Arkena's Gallente guide. Since then I've only used the AR and it's variants, I love the gun but can't help but feel outclassed by the RR and ScR sometimes. I am shocked at how fast they eat through my shields and armor, makes me think about what if I started Amarr or Caldari... if my K/D would be any better right now. |

Kds don't matter. Its only how people measure their dicks in dust. I got a two incher and I'm proud. Not really.
The key to RR and scr ridiculous damage is damage mods , proficiency, and accuracy. They don't outclass the AR only out range it.
You must respect the any semi auto weapons whether they're burst or single shot. They can and will out dps the **** out of you if you let them.
