Been sitting on this idea for a while and I believe it will add more to this. Now this is assumung that Frames are equivalent to Tier 1 ships in EVE and the suits are Tier 2 (ie. Heavy Frame is a Tier 1 but a Commando or a Sentinel is a Tier 2).
These bonuses should carry over to the Tier 2 suits. This will also give purpose to the "isk sink" prior to the Tier 2 and it will solidify roles and buff some suits in desperare need of buffing.
Suggestion of Tier 1 Bonuses: (Note I need help with suggested bonuses and will welcome any discussion and addition to this)
Heavy Frame - Should boost the racial form of tanking for that suit: Amarr Heavy Frame: Adds 3% to Amour Plates per level Caldari Heavy Frame: Reduces Shield recharge delay by 3% per level Gallente Heavy Frame: Adds 3% to Armour Repair Modules per level Minmatar Heavy Frame: (Open to Suggestions)
Medium Frames - I have no idea what to put here as it will affect both Logis and Assaults
Light - EWAR related (possibly) Opent to any suggestions as I have very limited knowledge of Light Frames and Scouts.
Please make any suggestion and, if reasonable, I will add itnto the OP.

Thats what I was thinking too. As it stands frames are an SP sink and have no purpose. In EVE tier one ships are a requirement before getting into Tier 2 (ie. Minmatar Frigates is a requirement before going into Minmatar Interceptors) however they add to the Tier 2 ship instead of wasting SP.
Thing is I only know about Sentinels and Heavies and need help coming up with ideas for Lights and Mediums.

Heavies would have I be hp. Medium would have to be damage and mobility. Light should be ewar.

Hi .
For the Medium Frames , I have a idea :
Ammar Medium Frame : 4% for the armour
Minmantar Medium Frame : 2% for the speed and endurace
Caldari Medium Frame : 4% for the shield
Gallente Medium Frame : 2% for the armour and shield
I think that my bonus are bad, but you can use to guide you, when developing the idea. |

Gallente needs to be armor and rep. And I'd go for a damage bonus too so it can be even better at cqc

Thing is we cant add too much damage to Mediums as Commandos already have a damage boost and adding damage to Mediums will render them useless. Why not we reduce the negative effects of certain things for some and boost others:
Amarr Medium: Reduction to speed penalty from Amour plates by 2% per level
Caldari Medium: Reduces shield delay penalty from Extenders by 2% per level
Minmater Medium: well I like Saint's idea of boosting sprint speed and stamina by 2%
Gallente: Boost Reactive plate armour and repair rate by 2% (possibly?)

Good idea, just a little nitpick on the nomenclature.
'Tiers' were used to describe the slightly increasing strength of ships within the Tech 1 range.
CCP have since gotten rid of tiers (google Eve Tiericide) because it gave false choices - Tier 3 battleships were better in nearly every way than the Tier 1 so no-one would fly the Tier 1.
You seem to be talking about Tech 1/Tech 2 though which makes sense and is a good idea. |

I certainly do.
If we're comparing things to how it's done in Eve, we should make the basic frames an introduction to their more specialized counterparts.
Light frames CAL: 3% bonus to dropsuit scan precision per level GAL: 3% reduction to scan profile per level MIN: 3% bonus to hacking speed per level AM: 3% bonus to max stamina per level
Similar but much weaker bonuses to the scout suits, and no ability to fit a cloak.
Medium frames CAL: 3% bonus to reload speed of hybrid-rail weapons & 5% bonus to max nanite capacity of nanohives per level GAL: 3% reduction to recoil of hybrid-blaster weapons & 3% bonus to scan precision of active scanners per level MIN: 3% bonus to magazine size of projectile weapons & 5% bonus to range of repair tools per level AM: 3% reduction to heat buildup in laser weapons & 5% decrease in spawn time of drop uplinks per level
Again, similar but much weaker bonuses. You could run as an assault or logi - or a bit of both - but you'll never be as good as either in their proper frames.
Heavy frames CAL: 3% bonus to shield recharger module efficacy per level GAL: 3% bonus to armor repair module efficacy per level MIN: 3% bonus to shield extender module efficacy per level AM: 3% bonus to armor plate module efficacy per level
No weapon bonuses here because this would be the first time a player is running around in a high hp suit, so the focus should be on learning how their race tanks. |

Hello .
I like your idea, but I think we would be in the same situation in which the Basic Suits are currently underutilized.
Because, well because bonuses affect Logistics and Combat suits , they would be twice as potent in the fight, which will not benefit the Basic Suits.
Now if these bonuses only affect the Basic Suits, this idea would be perfect as it would have a dropsuit it would really versatile when entering the battlefield. (I like)
Now if we look that suits all receive the same bonus Including the Basic Suit, I think this would not be the best idea.
Personally, I like your idea, if it applies only to the Basic Suits. |

Now, to solve this problem and let your idea, now like this, the best option is:
Expand the level at which you learn to control the Roles, then look to get in our roles to level 3 we get them to level 5, it is that many are not going to like it but it is the best option.
Because so players will have more time to see what role they want to identify first, you entoces players also have the bonus of your basic suit receive more bonus, depending on the role you choose.
Example :
Basic Suit Ammar Lv. 5 -á Bonds:
25% Reduction from overheating laser weapons.
25% Reduction of waiting time at a drop uplink.
Now they are at level 5, you must choose Combat, or Logistics.
And depending on the role you choose, you'll get extra bonus you are looking for, but you should be careful when choosing because you can end up wasting your SP, if you do not like the role you chose.
Example :
Combat Role Lv. 5
25% Reduction from overheating laser weapons of Combat + 25% bonus of basic suit = 50% Reduction from overheating laser weapons.
Logistics Role Lv. 5
25% Reduction timeout on a drop uplink of Logistic + 25% of basic suit = 50% reduction of waiting time at a link.
And this should make an SP reset if to implement this idea. |

This is brilliant and the reasoning behind each is smart. Previous Discussed Idea: Jonny D Buelle wrote: Suggestion of Tech 1 Bonuses: (Note I need help with suggested bonuses and will welcome any discussion and addition to this)
Heavy Frame - Should boost the racial form of tanking for that suit:
Amarr Heavy Frame: Adds 3% to Amour Plates per level Caldari Heavy Frame: Reduces Shield recharge delay by 3% per level Gallente Heavy Frame: Adds 3% to Armour Repair Modules per level Minmatar Heavy Frame: Adds 3% efficency to Biotic Modules (possibly)
Medium Frames - Mobility and Slight Tanking Tweaks:
Amarr Medium: Reduction to speed penalty from Amour plates by 2% per level Caldari Medium: Reduces shield delay penalty from Extenders by 2% per level Minmatar Medium: Boost Sprint speed and Stamina by 2% Gallente Medium: Boost Reactive plate armour and repair rate by 2% (possibly?)
Light Frames - EWAR related (possibly) Open to any suggestions as I have very limited knowledge of Light Frames and Scouts.
Please make any suggestion and, if reasonable, I will add it to the OP.

Fair point, however I feel that some bonuses should be transferred to T2 suits otherwise we still end up with an SP sink.
The bonuses you suggest for the heavy frame can greatly benefit the roles (especially the increase efficiency to repair modules and shield recharger for Gallente and Caldari respectively). If they are stuck with just the frames, then the role loses out. Yes they have the resistance however the Caldari recharge rate is still low and the Amarr Sent is better for passive reps than the Gal Sent though the opposite should be true. The frame would still be an SP sink.
The other problem is the potential for some Medium Frames becoming more common than the role. Amarr Logistics is one that comes to mind. Other than fitting and equipment, the frame would be slightly superior due to more health and the quicker reload. Stack plates in the lows and damage mods in the highs and you have a sub-assault that can place quick uplinks. Sure they be as quick as the links a logi drops, but it will still be quick.
Maybe have a small percentage or something that transfers over to roles to give them another edge over the frames. Yes there is the role bonus (reduced fitting requirements, resistences, higher percentage etc.) but I still feel some frames will have the advantage over some roles.

This was discussed before on an older thread but give each suit a max of 5% per level on any tier 1 Suits (5% or 3% & 2%) . The bounus should only apply to base suit stats not EQ or weapons or vehicles. Have the skill bounus be applied to all squad mates( not team) Skills of same Race/Size do not stack but different race/ same size does and vise versa. Ex. Gal/heavy + Gal/heavy = only highest level applies Gal/heavy + Cal/heavy + Amm/heavy + Min/heavy = all skills stack on squad Gal/light + Cal/med + Amm/heavy + min/light = all skills stack on squad
This might help with new players who can't keep up to stand a Chance when squading up.

I have made a thread with a clear and consolidated list of skills the basic frames need, giving them unique roles that make them viable options at the high end level areas like PC, without making them better or worse but instead making them alternative options to areas where the T2 frames would fall short. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=217561&find=unread
also, I see a lot of people just throwing out arbitrary bonuses and numbers and other what-ifs without putting any critical thought into the fact that the basic frames would actually have to be used and how they would affect balance instead of them just being skill books.
So far the only one that looks anyway feasible is Saint Winter's example of getting half bonuses to both subtypes, but still in this example once you skill past them they become moot.
