Good idea, just a little nitpick on the nomenclature.
'Tiers' were used to describe the slightly increasing strength of ships within the Tech 1 range.
CCP have since gotten rid of tiers (google Eve Tiericide) because it gave false choices - Tier 3 battleships were better in nearly every way than the Tier 1 so no-one would fly the Tier 1.
You seem to be talking about Tech 1/Tech 2 though which makes sense and is a good idea. |

I certainly do.
If we're comparing things to how it's done in Eve, we should make the basic frames an introduction to their more specialized counterparts.
Light frames CAL: 3% bonus to dropsuit scan precision per level GAL: 3% reduction to scan profile per level MIN: 3% bonus to hacking speed per level AM: 3% bonus to max stamina per level
Similar but much weaker bonuses to the scout suits, and no ability to fit a cloak.
Medium frames CAL: 3% bonus to reload speed of hybrid-rail weapons & 5% bonus to max nanite capacity of nanohives per level GAL: 3% reduction to recoil of hybrid-blaster weapons & 3% bonus to scan precision of active scanners per level MIN: 3% bonus to magazine size of projectile weapons & 5% bonus to range of repair tools per level AM: 3% reduction to heat buildup in laser weapons & 5% decrease in spawn time of drop uplinks per level
Again, similar but much weaker bonuses. You could run as an assault or logi - or a bit of both - but you'll never be as good as either in their proper frames.
Heavy frames CAL: 3% bonus to shield recharger module efficacy per level GAL: 3% bonus to armor repair module efficacy per level MIN: 3% bonus to shield extender module efficacy per level AM: 3% bonus to armor plate module efficacy per level
No weapon bonuses here because this would be the first time a player is running around in a high hp suit, so the focus should be on learning how their race tanks. |

Yeah those bonuses would only apply to the basic suits. |
