A completely unachievable goal is even more dull, frankly.
It takes over 2 million points to reach level 14 from 13.
Fighting in a battle earns 1 loyalty rank point. Winning that battle earns you 3. 500 WP in that battle earns you 1.
Therefore, if every single match bane sieg played from this point onwards was a win in which he scored 3000 WP (unlikely) it would take him 200,000 battles to reach the next rank.
200,000 battles. Two hundred thousand. If each of those was over very quickly, in 10 minutes (which is also highly unlikely as many matches take 20 or so), it would take 34,000 hours of playtime to reach the next rank.
That is completely preposterous. There is absolutely no way anybody could possibly meet those requirements through gameplay. Absolutely none. That's 1400 days (4 years) of sitting at the PS3 from downtime to downtime, never sleeping or eating except for 10 minute breaks through downtime.
Not only is it 1400 days of doing that, it's doing that with an absolutely extraordinary standard of performance.
THIS ISN'T EVEN THE HIGHEST RANK.
Such a system is completely ludicrous.
Of course, the system is actually designed to be exclusively dominated by those paying money, so let's have a look at that.
To get over 2 million LRP requires well over 4 million AUR. This is equivalent to 20 elite packs, or $2000.
For what isn't even the highest rank.
Lol.

It is quicker to train every single skill in EVE than it is to advance to maximum LR.

It is quicker to train every single skill in EVE than it is to advance to maximum LR. I am not sure I would go quite that far. In 2013: Quote:If you always remap according to the skill requirements and insert the best possible implants including the 3, 4 and 5 point intelligence and memory implants while learning cybernetics it will take exactly:
18 years, 145 days, 19 hours, 27 minutes and 6 seconds.
This is quite convenient as it also requires a total of 18 remaps...
If you are a bit short on ISK and only want to buy the 5 point implants for intelligence and memory you will have to spend 1 day, 21 hours, 11 minutes and 13 seconds more. Many new skills have been added since then.
It is over 3 million LRP (corrected, thanks bane) to rank 14 from 13.
Fighting in a battle earns 1 loyalty rank point. Winning that battle earns you 3. 500 WP in that battle earns you 1.
Assuming a rate of 4 battles per hour (which is actually quite swift) in which you win every single battle and score at minimum 1500 WP, you will earn 28 LRP per hour. If you play 5 hours a day, every day of your life, at this frankly exemplary rate, you will earn a total of 140 LRP, + 5 for logging in. So 145 LRP per day. This will take you almost 21,000 days.
It will take you almost 60 years of playing 5 hours a day and performing excellently to reach LR 14 from LR 13.
That is not even the maximum rank.

Okay. You do that, buddy.
