I had a match today where we had a full team and only myself and 5 others took on 16 , so that meant that half my team was in AFK and we still won because we went hard and fought together without being in a squad because we were on the same team .

Exactly. I think this is not that hard. I played 6 this morning and won my ambushes. The kills I am up in the low 100's, so not far. I will need to farm some more WP but that is easy, I will simply run a logi in a near future map.
BTW - I have also turned whole stomps around. It happens all the time. If you don't fight, then you must really enjoy the loading screen.
Story time:
There was a full squad of 7 from a corp cough AE cough and they had a Dark Reign person in with them against myself and 7 randoms from SF.
I held them in the city with my stupid shotty RE games while my team won the outside. One little scout and the random idigit who wondered into the city held 8 guys because they wanted me dead bad. They spent way too much time chasing me into traps which they blew up, but having nanos and REs they knew better. Half of them went to leave the city and I splattered 2 of the 4 left and tagged their heavy a couple times with my shotty before they got me. Spawn close, rinse repeat. Oh, and RE their vehicle landing site as it comes down. That was funny because they watched me do it and just sat in the city angry!
This was in an advanced scout suit with proto weapon and equipment. You can be a pain in the biggest bad arses backside if you have some tactics and play to win, not for WP or for KDR.
