It has come to my attention that various discussions have been taking place to introduce some differences into weapons and modules by giving them specific niches and roles... especially for things like the Mass Driver (Breach being light AV, Assault being area-of-denial) and armor plates (ferroscale for some armor & no speed penalty, reactive for a little rep).
Why don't we expand this line of thinking into other weapons, modules, and equipment to make some things more role specific? I have a few suggestions below:
Cloak: Stalker Variant, disables light-weapon slot but lasts longer and/or can recharge while active and not moving.
Drop Uplink: Squad Variant, only usable by squadmates to spawn in with. Stealth Variant, very low scan profile and smaller number of spawns - perhaps also squad based?
Nanohives: Stealth Variant, very low scan profile and smaller number of nanites
Proximity Explosives: Anti-Infantry Flux Variant, explodes like a flux grenade when enemy infantry is close. Anti-Infantry Explosive Variant, explodes like a grenade with a tight radius when enemy infantry is too close.
Scrambler Rifle: Long-Range Variant, only has charge up as well as an extended range for picking off targets - Pseudo-sniper
I would love to see what other people come up with too!

I like all :) Just the proxy against infantry and scrambler long range, I don't know :/ The scrambler of now is very powerfull, a long range version is not necessary I think

I really like the Warbarge Jammer however I think it would be neat to add this in as equipment or a module. It would be one hell a counter to scanner.

I like a lot of these variants. Why don't you add a warbarge profile dampener that appears as a dark circle on the overview map and mini-map?

But doesn't it also have the flexibility for semi-auto fire? I'm talking about full-charge and longer ranged engagements but I can remove it
