me and a friend both have beta keys and are of the same race/corp (Galente) how do we play on the same side and the same time plus how do we start a voice chat with each other? Also i noticed that on player info page it says im galente and below that im in blood something group which i joined over 7 days ago, my friend is in a different group. niether of us actually set up to join these groups. is this the reason why we are not playing on the same team? |

When you picked your race, you also picked your bloodline, not your corporation. For the time being, it appears that starter corporations are entirely random based on racially aligned factions (for example, I'm a Gurista, a Gallentian pirate faction). As far as party play, I don't know if that's in yet. As far as I know, the corporation has nothing to do with who you can or can't play with, though.
In regards to voice chat - first and foremost, make sure game chat is on (you can enable this in the "Options" tab of the Neocom). I believe you can chat with each other directly if you go into the "Social" tab, select "Contacts", and then your friend's name (if he/she is on your contact list). If they're not on your contact list, add 'em. |

Actually, right now the only four options that you have while selecting one of your contacts are "Show Info", "Remove Contact", "Add to Watch", and "Block". I've heard that party option will be enabled in the next build, which probably comes out next week. You can voice chat through Skype for now though.  |

In this early beta stage, corporations are assigned in a pseudo-random way: the actual corp is randomized between a pool of corps that is continent-related.
Expect a proper EVE-style* corp management in the near future 
* EVE-style is not "EXACTLY LIKE EVE" (disclaimer for great justice) |

Just a little nit-pick. Guristas are Caldari pirates. Started by Fatal and Rabbit. Two former Caldari Navy pilots...
Corporations are entirely random, because I doubt my Caldari Mercenary would willingly join the Imperial Guard.   |

My mistake. For some reason I remembered Guristas being located in Gallente space, lol. |
