My family is not very happy about splashing blood happening every time I kill someone so could we remove blood altogether or at least turn blood on and off in the settings? It is completely unnecessary and unneeded and will clear up some memory.
I would ask that all replies made to this post are kept civilized and that no harsh language is used. If you do not keep your post civilized and use harsh language your reply shall be reported and removed.

Maken Tosch wrote:So your family is not ok with a little blood splatter on the screen, but have no problem seeing a high-powered weapon fire bullets into the face of a person? Or seeing players act like insurgents drying their Jihad Jeeps into a tank? Or seeing someone go GTA with an LAV on a poor merc on the road? Or seeing bodies fly around when a remote explosive or plasma canon ends their day? They can tolerate those things, but not the blood as much.

True Adamance wrote:Interesting....... concept...... conflict without blood that is.
Especially in a violent, dark, and ultimately gritty setting like New Eden where the very premise of the game is that your character is not existing in a single time line where they do not die but die thousands of time over and over again in increasingly more brutal and violent manners.
Torn to pieces by an Ion Canon, eaten from the inside out by a 'Toxin' round as your own nanite clusters turn against your body ripping your internal organs to pieces, even the rapid development of terminal cancers brought out by prolonged exposure to our own weapons.
Sure if CCP wants to add a filter let them, but that's not what New Eden is about. I agree with you fully, but my parents don't. If there was a setting to turn it on and off manually I'd turn the filter on when my parents were here, then off when they are gone.

Especially if it's a feature that could then be disabled, meaning you are designing render intensive effects to only a small portion of the player population. Especially when those resources could better go to getting better performance out of gameplay-important aspects. Yeah, that's true. Still something I would like to see though. He makes a good point. Would you rather have performance or detail? I for one would choose performance.
