that didn't really answer my question, as the person is already in the passenger seat of hav/lav. How do I prevent someone from stealing my hav/lav once they are inside.

How do I prevent someone from stealing my hav/lav once they are inside. Drop a solo tank if you're concerned about tankjackers. Alternately... never get out of your vehicle. For LAVS drop an RE into the back compartment for the gunner. For lavs ask a buddy to shotgun the unwanted passenger. I mean hell I would do it just to do it for you. Jesus christ why do you nerds cry about this when there are methods built into the game that allow you to bypass this? I believe it's called a marduk and the caldari SHAV. Whatever that name is that I never see ever. A little situational awareness and calling the right vehicles solves the problem usually. Alternately just shoot blue dots who try to run up and jump in. Or drive over them. If your vehicle is getting stolen by a passenger then it means you are jumping out of the vehicle. Why are you getting out of a vehicle in the battle? There is only so much ccp is likely to do. Giving you a way to always avoid getting screwed by "allies" is one of those things that is not part of the new eden theme.
