Confirmed by me. Because Jumpshots.
Also , I forgot ... because Yes ! -_- you can be a good plc-er without jumpy mods. I personally use them more on assaults. You'll get scored like these! Are damage mods necessary? My personal fit- 3 krins mods PC Smg 3 ferroscale 2 reps Hives More damage means better chance to kill and better prepared against vehicles. No jump mods needed. Practice your aim. Always fire cannon first. If you kill, good. I you don't and only damage, you have the smg to tear through armor.
Armor stacking a PLC fit, ewww. Just eww.
SPEED IS KEY.

NextDark Knight wrote:Being able to fit a Plasma cannon on a scout is really a big FU to us Forge Gun users that had our weapons nerfed to hell to pave the way for the PLC.
Us heavies have it bad enough..
Speak for yourself, my forging is better than ever..
PLC is a shield weapon and can barely do JACK against anything with an armor hardener on.. Forge on the other hand ( armor weapon ) can keep anything at bay in the allotted range.. In the correct hands of course.
These 2 weapons are both of my favorite primary weapons, please don't try to make them enemies.

Preaching to the choir, bub. Obviously you have to AIM...
I am talking about MODULES here... Never heard of AIMING modules, so lets take a moment to laugh.
Now read this carefully:
Speed will get you in and out of position easily. Lowering your profile will also help accomplish this.
Armor stacking your scout to make it an assault, or stacking your assault to make it a heavy might allow you an extra second of sustained gunfire. Nonetheless, this WILL NOT help you successfully flank or escape to achieve a better position for your cannon.

I understand, I was devastated as well when the charge time was slightly extended. My inner forge clock was all types of screwed up. Only took a few days of consistent forging to get my timing back though.
The splash reduction/ removal didn't bother me much since I use the Assault Forge.
Even after all of these changes I have no problem using the Forge as an anti-infantry weapon on the battlefield. Especially now that my heavy can get some serious hang-time
