Now, I'm sure almost all of you have had been on a server, when someone would come and speak in a different language then what was normally spoke. I am on the North America Server, so I'm pretty sure the set language would be English. Now I was one of those people who wasn't bothered much when someone spoke a different language. But recently people would speak in different languages and would say offensive things, such as "you F***ing suck at this game and life" and other things, this got me mad, and when they started calling me Anti-cultural because I couldn't under stand the language they where speaking in. I got really bothered. So what I'm doing is bringing this to CCP's attention. Now I do realize that this isn't a major problem... Yet (hopefully) But on other games I have heard of horrible stories of people committing suicide because of this problem here. And I know that They have put up the 'Block' button, but I would also appreciate a 'Report" button
I do realize that the 'Report' button itself isn't a big deal, but when it is put into action and put into the game, it could save someone's life. I have decided to bring this to CPP's attention because this really does hit close to home, with someone I know tried to committee suicide, and one of those reasons was because of online bulling, and I know how devastating it is to someone, it scared me shitless when they tried to do it.
This is a very serious topic that should be dealt with immediately. So CCP I BEG you please put in a 'Report' button, it can save someone's life.

There is zero chance of this being implemented. CCP simply doesn't have the resources to pay someone to sit and read all these 'reports' all day.
Besides, it's really not an issue. Get used to online abuse. If anything, it should amuse you. I know I live off of hate mail.

I would rather have a mute local chat button or something similar , I had this one kid this one time and I knew he was a kid by his voice , just cursing in Portuguese ... I knew this because I use to play chess with some gentlemen from Portugal , it's funny .. I can only remember such things ( Different languages ) when I've smoked some Kush but anyway , it was kind of annoying and he was loud and I could hear others in the background so I was like , if it's cool for them then whatever but , that was a moment I wish I had a mute button .
He kept dying and swearing because he was having a hard time , kinda blew my buzz but if I had a mute button , I would have been just fine .
I know it could be troublesome at times but you have to keep in mind this is the internet , I try not to use that as an excuse but more of a reason to be more patient and somewhat tolerable when things like that happen .
People act vulgar , racist , disrespectful and show zero moral compass but you have to keep in mind that , sometimes you have to be thankful that your more aware of such and use that as a reminder of how not to act , be happy that you understand better .
You can't police the world and if that was the case , I couldn't watch **** online  .

I do understand this, but for some people it doesn't, and to me, its very serious, I would read all of the reports that are send, if it means saving a life

The system is already in place and a report button would be a good addition.
I don't think that everybody should get use to abuse.
I don't think that some of the absurdly ignorant crap that some people toss around is something that should be accepted.
Total bigotry that I've seen in games does not have to condoned. The people who do some of these things often have problems of their own and are lashing out in a way that makes sense to them.
Is there a perfect system for dealing with thisGǪ nope. Does it mean people should not try to deal with it?

People back in the old days didn't commit suicide when someone told them something to their face... I don't understand...
Why is it so hard to use the block button? Sure, the person will keep doing it, but if it bothers you that much, why doesn't one just mute or block? If it were social media, that's a different story. But online games, where it is sooooo obvious that you're gonna find that ONE person... Why? Just be prepared for it people, and not give 2 poos. Just be sorry for their ignorant souls and move on.

I didn't for a long time,(one of the main reasons I didn't bother me that much, but someone had told me, he said something like: you know that hes telling you that you suck at this game nand life and I was like really, well that wasn't nice. and it got to me more and more every time he repeated stuff like that, which it shouldn't have, but it did

I'm not sure if im letting of that I'M the person who might committee suicide, no, i'll just get either a little ornery or super jittery because of the lame stuff they where saying. I did this because someone that I know (not saying who of course) tried to, and no, online wasn't the main reason, it just worsened thing, family problems where popping up, they weren't the most "popular" kid, so when they started playing online, and people where putting them down. they started feeling like no one loved him, and he couldn't go anywhere, reality or virtually. (NOT to tell their story or anything, that's just what they told me.)

First server does not have to do with your local. Local is about your race selection and then some random on top.
Secondly while I appreciate your desire to not see people bullied or to be bullied it is just not possible for CCP to censor every person who trolls or pisses someone off. If they were going to even attempt that they may as well just turn the servers off and call it a day.
What you should most likely petition for is the ability to leave local chat. Cramming people together permanently in a channel based on nothing but how they started the game is a recipe for disaster anyway. Until then I recommend you submit a ticket requesting to be moved to a different local based on harassing behavior or you simply ignore local completely like most people do.

Some Mexican joined my Corp a few weeks ago, kept cursing at us because we don't speak spanish, I did Google translate.
"Speak Spanish you ******* idiots" is what we found out he was saying, needless to say he was removed within the first 5 minutes.
It astounds me to no end when I encounter someone from another nation that expect everyone to know their language. I'm a u.s citizen, English is my primary and only language yet I know that south of the border in the Americas, hardly anyone speaks it, yet I don't go into a Spanish Corp or chat and demand that they speak english.
Some players simply are either mega trolls or are just plain ignorant ass holes. I just troll them until they stop messaging me or trying to speak to me in any chat channel. If your going to speak to me, do it in english, I will not recognize any other language besides english.

Has no one pointed out that OP does not understand that your battle server setting has nothing to do with your local chat and that your local is based on the system you are in within the greater New Eden universe, therefore it doesn't matter what language they speak as it is Tranquility.
Also OP, as Void Echo pointed out, people who dont speak your language can be c*nts especially online.
